Christmas 2023

We were home this year to celebrate Christmas. On Christmas Eve we felt very festive and headed off to church for the service.

I love these sweet sisters.

When we got home, we set out Crumbl cookies and milk for Santa.

Adalyn hugged her elf good bye, and then we sent the girls to bed.

And I set up our annual North Pole breakfast!!!

We usually have this breakfast on Christmas Eve morning, but DJ had to work so we decided to have it Christmas morning.

Once the girls woke up- we opened presents.

This was the aftermath!

Gretchen read one of her new books during breakfast.

Gabby played with her new football.

And by the end of Christmas day- our entire house was clean and put back together!!!!
I have never taken our decorations down so early, but we were heading to New Orleans for the Sugar bowl and we had a change to turn righ back around for the championship game and I knew it wouldn't be something I would want to mess with! Part of me was sad, and part of me enjoyed that the clutter was gone!

December 2023

After we won the championship game, we jumped right back in to football with a dinner celebrating the players, seniors, and team awards!
It was kind of fun to get dressed up and be able to go with DJ.
We spent an evening home decorating the Christmas tree together.
And Adalyn had a holiday performance at school with the dance club!
DJ was able to make it too!

The big girls got in on the fun this year for our Elves!!! It was so fun seeing what they came up with!
We had another craft market for our bracelets.

And we went to the Texas athletic department Christmas party!

The girls thought the photo booth was a lot of fun!

And we even saw Santa Bevo!

Megan cheered at basketball games!

And Gretchen's friend who moved out of state came back for a visit!

I decorated the house for Christmas- and their hand and foot print art will always be my favorite decoration.

And their Santa pictures throughout the year.

We had our annual PJ & Lights night!

Complete with hot chocolate and cookies!

This was definitely the best house by far and we were ready for the holiday season!

Thanksgiving, a Play, & Gaylord Ice.

Thanksgiving weekend, we loaded up and went to Arkansas! The girls were super excited to spend the holiday with family!
Megan was so excited to see her Ya-Ya!!!!

We even saw Allison!
And took some fun pictures out on the hay bales. These girls are all growing up way too fast.
The girls helped Gee do some baking.
And one afternoon to get out of the house, we went and did some exploring around the big town of Bigelow, Houston, and Conway. Amelia was super excited to show her cousins the Bigelow store.

I drove the girls to see the chapel where DJ and I got married.

And we even happened upon a park where Adalyn had her 1st birthday pictures made.

Thanksgiving day we watched the parade and we were ready for some turkey and pie!

We had lunch at Aunt Mary's house and it was so wonderful to be with family for the holiday.
After lunch, we loaded up and headed to Branson!!!!
The girls were bundled up and ready for a day at Silver Dollar City!!!
This is one of my favorite traditions!

Fire in the Hole was getting a huge make over so we had to wait in line and ride it one more time!
Gretchen was pumped when she finally got some coffee!
and Libby had all the snacks!

One of Megan's friends was in the area too visiting her dad so they met us at SDC!
And of course we all had to go in the treehouse together!
Gee bought the girls all matching pj's!
And we spent the night watching the end of the game and learning that we were making it to the championship game!!!
The girls had matching shirts for their pictures wtih Santa!

And Santa thought they were hilarious! He got up to read all of our shirts!

We ended the night with some fun games before heading all the way home the following day.

Gretchen performed in her school musical, Footloose!
She was the cutest and we had fun watching her!
But we had to leave her behind as we headed to Dallas for the championship game. I took the girls out of school and we headed to the Gaylord for their ICE event.

We found a Longhorn at the hotel!

After ice tubing and playing we headed in to downtown Grapevine to explore, have dinner, and then headed back to the hotel to rest up for the game the next day! Fall
