I am so glad that today is Friday! I felt like this day would never get here, but it has! And, the best news of all is that I somehow managed to survive the week!
Monday was my most difficult day, as I had 2 case conferences, an evaluation, therapy for two other preschools, and a doctor appointment- but, I did it! The day wasn't as bad as I had dreaded throughout last weekend.
On Monday, I found out that I was dialated between 2-3 cm, and that I was 60% effaced. The doctor went ahead and scheduled our induction for Tuesday morning, the 24th!
All of my IEP's are completed, although there are a few that haven't been finalized, but at least MY information is put in!
As far as preparing for M- The bouncy seat is put together, but still needs batteries, and I was able to wash the carseat (although, it's still not installed), and set up the pac-n-play. I was also able to pack her hospital bag, and make a shopping list of things to get & do this weekend.
However, I have yet to pack my own hospital bag. I'm planning on it tonight, but to be honest, I could go home and go to sleep!
G's big sister gift has been purchased. I ordered her a photo album from Amazon.com and it arrived this week. And, I went ahead and purchased her a pillow pet- she's been asking for one since December, so I know that she'll love her gift from Megan!
I did not get around to making their hair bows though. I wanted to do a new custom bow with a bottle cap center, but they have simple big and lil sis bows that I had previously made, and this way, M's bow won't be too large and overwhelming for her.
So, it's all done- i'm not sure if i'll actually do a make a goal Monday post next week or not-but, I do know that my main goal is to have this baby, and to have her big sister survive it!

Fessin' Up From Last Week!
Well, another week has come and gone, and of course another busy Friday that I did not get to 'fess up' with how I did on my goals for the previous week.
Friday was not a good day at work for me. I realized that I left out a crucial part of an evaluation, that I have to find time to complete on Monday before the students IEP meeting. And, we had a garage sale on Saturday, so as soon as I came home from work I had to prepare for that.
Which left Saturday, trying to sell some things and then re-packing what didn't sell and taking them to Goodwill, followed by an open-house today.
Yes, I'm ready for a vacation!
So, how did I do with last weeks goals? I guess it's time to fess up:
~ I did get to the post office to ship some items, but i'll be heading back again tomorrow to ship bow of the month club & my wholesale order for Little Bow Peeps.
~ I was abl eto start packing some at school, although I still have a lot to get through and organize!
~ Garage sale- check!
~ And, the 3rd wholesale order is finished. I was hoping to get more done, but it's getting too exhausting to work on orders right now, so I'm taking a few weeks off, since I'll be having a new little honey in a week and moving about 3 weeks after that!
Did you survive your week? Did you accomplish all of your goals?

Fessin' Up from Last Friday & Makin' a Goal...er... Tuesday!
So, obviously, i'm behind. But, can't we cut myself some slack? After all, I'm 37 weeks pregnant with a 3 year old and a husband living out of state!
Here's how I did with my goals last week:
~I was able to ship my 2nd order to Little Bow Peep's and Heather K.
~ I finished evaluating my target student last week, his IEP is filled out on my part, and i'm just waiting on his conference this week!
~ I'm not sure how many case conferences I was able to hold last week, but I know that I'm starting to wind down with my elementary age students. Now, my preschools are a different story!
~ I've been working on the 3rd wholesale order to Little Bow Peep's, but I'm definitely not finished with it!
~ Mother's day gifts are going in the mail today (yes, i'm late) My mom and in-laws know that I always ship late. Maybe next year i'll be on time? And, G had a blast making their cards and decorating them with stickers!
~ I didn't do so great with cooking last week, but my grandma did! It was nice that cooking was one less thing I had to worry about in the evenings!
So, on to goals this week:
~ Head to the post office to ship items today and ship all Bow of the Month Club items by Friday!
~ Start packing up my room at school
~ I'm having a garage sale on Saturday, so I need to pick up some posters for advertising and hang those.
~ Work on the 3rd wholesale order for Little Bow Peep's.
I'm going to try to not overwhelm myself with too many goals this week! I have officially 2 weeks left until my scheduled induction, and I don't want to put myself into labor early!
What are your plans for this week?

Fessin' Up
This week went exceptionally well goal wise! I must say, i'm pretty proud of myself & I only have to survive for one more week before my grandmother comes to stay!
1. G did a great job helping me out picking up her toys before bedtime every night, and it was so nice to relax in the living room without looking at a mess of toys scattered about.
2. Elizabeth picked up her hair bow order today, and I shipped Randa's order earlier this week! I'm still working on the wholesale order, but i'm sending everything I have thus far by the end of the week. Little Bow Peep's has it's grand opening on May 2nd! So, I need to get the items there!
3. My student teacher's last day was Thursday. I will say that i'm going to miss her a ton! Mostly because now I have to see the kiddos again! But seriously, she was a big help! We ordered lunch and she brought in delishes cookies! I also bought her a few fun pieces of jewelry, because what girl doesn't like jewelry!
4. G's Easter basket is all planned out! However, we're headed out tomorrow to try to find her a pair of shoes... I'm pretty sure the ones that she has, she's outgrown- so wish us luck! Finding white shoes the day before Easter will be quite the task! And, she's still telling me that she does not want to see the Easter bunny, but we're going to at least go and see if she changes her mind.
So, it was a really productive week for me! How about yours? Did you get everything done that you wanted to?

Fessin' Up
I'm a day late with Fessin' Up Friday! (oops) But, here's how I did this week: 1. I was able to finish up and ship a few HPA orders, but I still have plenty to work on this weekend- thanks to reaching over 1,000 fans on the facebook page this week & offering tons of specials and deals! 2. The house was picked up every night, but we did go to bed with it a mess last night, so i'm cleaning today. I also plan to finally dust and clean the bathrooms today as soon as I get more energy back! 3. I started 'handwriting without tears' AND did an Easter project with Gretchen this week! I already blogged about the Easter project this past week, and I'll be blogging about the handwriting later this week! 4. I did get paid, but I didn't make a budget. I'm hoping to not spend much more money until my next payday! How did you do with your goals this week?

Fessin' Up Friday!
Well, we did it!!! I'm so excited to say that DJ will be home tonight and that Gretchen and I not only survived our final week without him, but we also survived the last 5!!!! It'll be great to see him tonight and to spend the next two weeks together! Gretchen jumped up with excitement and exclaimed, 'yay!' when I reminded her that daddy would be home today. She has big plans for him to charge her princess car, so she can ride it next week, and hopefully, if the weather is as warm as it's suppose to be, they can practice bike riding as well!
Gretchen & I both got our hair cuts yesterday. I'm still trying to decide if I like my newly cut bangs, as I'm sure I will once I get use to styling them and they grow out just a tad. And, Gretchen got 2 whole inches cut off her hair! I took a before and after picture of her, but wouldn't you know that my camera is at home, so I'll have to upload pictures later!
The living room stayed pretty picked up this week, thanks to G's new 'chore chart', but the rest of the house, yes, it's still a disaster. I think this 3rd trimester is starting to kick my butt- we went to bed by 8:30 last night! And yes, my laundry is still stacked up on top of the washer & dryer! Maybe I can convince DJ to get it put away for me!
I was able to mail a few HPA orders, and I have 2 more going out today. However, I'm still working on an order for a set of triplets & their baby sister! As well as a m2m bow that has to go out on Monday, and a wholesale order for my friends store in Jonesboro, AR- set to open the 1st of May!
So yes, 'We did it!'.... I feel like Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, despite my brunette hair! But, i'm super excited that we got through the first part of DJ being away, and I know that as soon as we get through the second part, that we'll have a new baby to celebrate with!
How was your week? Did you get everything accomplished that you wanted?!

Fessin' Up on a Friday Night
Gretchen and I had a good week. Although, not a lot of our goals were actually met. We did have a house showing this week and got some good feedback from it today. And, if you saw my post last night, you'll know that I did get Gretchen's 'chore chart' made, and she's already done very well with it!
St. Joseph still isn't burried, but at least I found him!
And, other than that, I really didn't get a lot accomplished. I think that as I'm getting further along in my pregnancy, i'm getting more tired again. Granted, the 5 day work week did not help! We were spoiled in February with snow days and 2 hour delays!
I'm counting down until when DJ gets back- he's actually moving into our new house this weekend, and he'll be home next week! Gretchen has done surprising well with him being away. Only a few times she complains that she misses him, and she does sleep with me at least 5-6 nights a week! I don't mind, but it'll be interesting once DJ gets back, as she said the other day, that she can just sleep in the middle of us. I tried to explain that while it's a good idea, she sleeps sideways, which isn't so much of a good idea!
I'm hoping this weekend will be a little more productive. I have 3 shirt orders, and a slew of hair bows to get made for an old friend who is opening a consignment store!
It's also suppose to rain all weekend, and unfortunately, we have a chance of snow on Sunday morning- it just makes me want to stay cozy, warm, and relaxed!

Fessin' Up Friday
I can't believe I've had such a successful week in meeting my goals! This is the first time, that I've completed every single one of them! Okay, there were only three, but I'm thrilled!!!
Don't remember what my goals were?
1. I'm taking Gretchen to daycare today. Since DJ's gone, it'll be nice to have a day of 'me-time'. And, the mommy guilt already set in, but I know we'll both enjoy our time. I need to run to the fabric store and update my fabric album on facebook. I also forgot a few things at the grocery store. So, I'm going to run those errands in the morning, and get back to the house to clean some baseboards, walls, and do some laundry.
2. Sew cloth wipes and post a tutorial... I may not get to the tutorial, but I decided that I need to try cloth wipes with baby Megan. I'm also thinking of listing these on my facebook page as another item to HPA.
3. Post the Bright Starts infant swing giveaway!!! It'll start tomorrow, so keep your eye out for it!
Let's see if I can keep up the "good work" and meet all of my goals next week!

Fessin' Up Friday
A big 'thank you' to my co-worker who let me borrow her computer again! I swear, I'm getting this lady a huge gift!
I'm so glad that it's finally Friday! Anyone with me?! This week went by pretty fast, and I'm shocked that we only have one full week left of February! I'm praying that the weather will start to warm, and that the snow will stay away! I'm also, so ready for spring break to get here!
So, how did y'all do with your goals this week?
I don't think I did too shabby! ~Here's the rundown~
1. Our house is officially on the market! The sign is in the yard, along with the stat sheets (we also have them in the house). The virtual tour is up, and all of the photos online! Now, we just need a buyer!
2. Our bathroom is organized; I do still need to wash the cabinets, and the tub has been scrubbed!
3. Our painter finished yesterday, and the house looks great!
4. The house isn't back in order for showings, but the paint is still wet. I'm hoping that the house will be back in order on Saturday.
5. Enjoy Gretchen- well, I always enjoy my daughter. But we were able to color one night this week, and the weather was nice enough yesterday that we were able to get outside and play! Tonight is our school carnival, and I'm excited to take her to it, and to get ice cream on Saturday!
Of course, I have to share her 'funny' of the week.... as we were getting ready to go outside yesterday, I was bending over to put on my shoes- which, anyone that's been 6 months pregnant knows that this can be a very difficult task! Gretchen went behind me, hit my booty and said, 'Mommy, your butt's getting bigger!'
Wow! I mean, don't you love a 3 year old's honesty!
I hope you've all had a great week as well and were able to meet your weekly goals!

Fessin' Up on a Friday Night
I'm so glad that it's Friday, and that Gretchen and I have the weekend ahead of us! I know it's going to be a busy weekend because the realtor is coming over to take pictures of the house so we can get it on the market- there's a lot of organizing I need to do!
So, here's how I did this week with my weekly goals:
1. I didn't have the painter over... he's coming on Sunday with the realtor.
2. I managed to survive DJ leaving on Monday without too many tears. Though, they came last night, I did survive this first week!
3. Our bathroom is not clean or organized- I decided to save that for this weekend.
4. Our closet- yup, it's not done either. Again, that's a task for tomorrow!
5. I did successfully organize our guest room into an 'office'. It at least looks so much larger than what it did!
So, how did you do this week with your goals?

Fessin Up Friday~ We Survived!
It's already Friday, so that means it's time to Fess Up for my goals for the week. Considering that I've been home for the last three days thanks to our ice storm, I feel like I've done a pretty darn good job!
1. My first goal was to finish a pumpkin clippie and get two orders in the mail..... Sadly, I didn't finish the pumpkin, but I do have two other orders that I can get in the mail! I'll have everything out and in the mail on Monday though.
2. Clean out and organize our guest room closet! Y'all should've seen it- that closet was a mess. Now I will say that it looks a million times better, but sadly the guest room itself is a mess! I decided to not go through the filing cabinets yet, because no one is going to be looking through those while we put our house on the market, so long as it gets done before we move to Oklahoma! I was able to find things for our garage sale that I want to have before we move, and I already have 4 boxes full of stuff! And, I've been through only 2 rooms of the house! Can we say nesting?
3. I did start packing some for DJ for when he 'moves' next week. He has 3 boxes to take with him, and almost a fourth. Although, I know he'll need to take more, but I'm running out of boxes!
4. I didn't cancel our Y membership, but we also didn't make it to the Y this week because of the ice. I didn't even try to get out for Mat Rats this evening!
I feel like I did much more than what I had set goals for. My three days at home should've been relaxing, but taking care of a messy 3 year old and trying to get the house organized for it to be sold is stressful! I'm actually looking forward to going back to work tomorrow!
So, how did y'all do this week? Did you meet all of your goals- or even just 1 of them?

Fessin' Up Friday Week 4?
Is it week 4? I can't even remember.
But, I will say that so far- I did it!!! I SURVIVED the week!
Well, I'm writing this on a Thursday night, but so far, I've survived!
I told you on Monday that I might have some exciting news to share, and I do!
After praying for many years (yes, years) we're finally going to be able to move closer to family! My husband has been hired at TU! We'll be moving to Oklahoma in the next few months! It's such a blessing to be able to move closer to our family with Gretchen getting older and the birth of our second daughter just a few months away. My mom is also thrilled with our move.
Our obstacles now are selling the house, and figuring out when Gretchen and I will move- we have a few options, and we're still trying to figure them all out, but I know that it's all in God's hands and that he'll provide.
Gretchen's birthday party is on Saturday, and I've been able to prepare for that tonight. I know I still have a lot of work to do, but I'll also know that it will all get done!

Fessin' Up Friday On a Saturday Night
This week has been unbelievably busy, and I know next week will be crazier than this one was! So, I'm a little late on Fessin' Up- oops! Better late than never; right?
Here goes:
1. We did find out the gender of the baby! And, in case you missed it- We're having another GIRL! Anyone have any good name suggestions, b/c the hubby and I can't agree on any!
2. Work out at least once this week. Yeah, this did not happen. I have many excuses, considering that we had MLK day off, spent at the children's museum, the dr. appointment, a snow day, mat rats, and a morning w/out power! So, maybe next week?
3. Cook in the crock pot- see the above list. Because we had the doctor's appointment, we just ate out. I was off on Wednesday, so it was easier to just cook, and after Mat Rats we made a homemade pizza. And, on Friday, because we had no electricity that morning and I wasn't sure when it would come back on- I didn't set anything out, and couldn't use the crock pot- so we went out to eat again! Does anyone have any good recipes to help me in this area?
4. I did add to the Valentine inventory, but I was unable to ship orders- those should get finished this weekend and shipped on Monday!
So, this is a week that I can prove why I don't set New Year's Resolutions. Time and other events often get in the way, and it's just upsetting when you don't meet your goals! Did y'all know Monday was suppose to be one of the unhappiest days of the year? This is because people are getting in bills from Christmas, depressed over the winter weather, and realizing they're not meeting their New Year's Resolutions!
So, how was your Monday? Did you meet your goals this week?

Social Parade and Fessin Up Friday!

It's my 2nd installment of "Fessin Up Friday".... I didn't make New Years Resolutions this year, because, let's face it, I can never keep them! So, instead, I'm making weekly goals for myself and blogging about them on "Make a Goal Monday" and "Fessin Up Friday!
So, let's suck it up, and fess up about how I did this week!
Goal #1 was to work out two times this week, and i'm pleased to announce that I did it! I went 3 miles on the elliptical on Monday, lifted weights, and did lunges- which, were still killing me on Tuesday! On Wednesday, I went 2 miles on the elliptical and lifted weights- so, yay me!
Goal #2 was to ship and complete all HPA orders before I received more. I was able to ship all but 1 order, and I still have 1 order to drop off. I need to sew an applique' shirt, and work on butterfly clippies. I also had an order for an Easter bow, and I received that ribbon yesterday! And, I did receive a new order today that I'll need to work on. So, I'd say I completed only half of this goal, but I'm still pleased with how much I completed!
Goal 3 was to cook in the crock pot- and I made a delicious roast today!
Goal 4 should have been easy- to attend small group- but, we had a huge snow on Tuesday, and small group was cancelled. Plus, I did not want our babysitter to drive here in the snow, and DJ ended up working a women's basketball game! So, we should complete this one next week!
Goal 5- take Gretchen to Mat Rats- this goal was completed today! She had an excellent time, with her friend Lily in the class, and was a wonderful listener!
Goal 6 was to complete 2 IEP's that I have at work! I have one finalized, and the other I have written- I just need to call the parent!
So, in all, I'd say I had a pretty successful week! I'm hoping that I'll have a productive weekend, since I'll have Monday off!
Thanks again for stopping over if you're new to HPA blog!

Fessin' Up Friday

Do you remember my "Makin a Goal Monday" post? Well, it's time to fess up, and yes, this is the difficult part.
But, as my husband explained, a week is 7 days, so maybe I can still meet my goals for the week?
My 1st goal was to workout twice this week. Well, I only went once. I did walk 2.5 miles on the treadmill, because all of the ellipticals were full- imagine that, on the first work day of the New Year, that the Y would be packed full of people starting their New Year's Resolutions! I can't remember why I didn't make it on Tuesday- I think I was just planning that day off anyway, and on Wednesday, I needed to run to the grocery store. I had made up my mind to go on Thursday afternoon, until it the earlier rain turned to ice on the roads, and then it snowed. Now, being from the south, I do not drive well on these road conditions, and I was pleased with just getting home- I was not going to risk an accident getting to the Y- so, there went Thursday. Which leaves this afternoon, for me to finish this goal- and, let me be honest- I have a few errands to run today, so this goal- not going to happen.
My 2nd goal was to get Gretchen signed up for Mat Rats, and I did accomplish this one on Monday! And, she'll have 2-3 other friends in her class with her! When I was telling Gretchen about Mat Rats starting, and that her friends were going to be in there, she became a selfish little girl, telling me that only she could do sommersaults and that no one else could- so, that'll be a goal on Monday- to survive Mat Rats without hurting someones feelings!
My 3rd goal was to have my house picked up every night. This was fairly easy, now that Gretchen is doing better picking up her toys. I managed to get one load of laundry finished- although, it is still sitting in the dryer, and the kitchen was cleaned every night, which also meant I had to run and unload the dishwasher daily! And, I did get to vacuum once this week! So, in all, I'd say i'm pleased with how this goal turned out.
So, how did you do with your goals this week? Did you meet them or have you already let yourself down? I hope you'll join me on Monday to see what my goals are next week!
