September Fun

September was filled with all of the girls activities! If I wasn't at work, or a Texas game- I was at Megan's games, Gretchen's games, or watching Adalyn play soccer!
This girl was the star stunter this year!

It's so fun watching games with him; and of course we have to embarass her with a picture afterwards!

Adalyn attended dance clinic with the Scarlets and Crimsonettes!

Can you spot Megan in the middle?

A little mini clinic fun!

Some French Horn practice for this girl!

Some time on the soccer field!

Soccer is way more fun with friends!

I love watching this girl perform!

More soccer...

and more middle school football!

Megan's friend from her gymnastics days came to watch!

A Lot of Life Lately

I've been working on this post for weeks. It's sad really how long it's sat in my undrafted and I haven't had the time to work on it. Life has been BUSY. Between work, school, gymnastics, soccer, theater and all the in between, blogging has fallen to the back burner, but I'm determined to get at least this post published.

It's been a long time coming.
We bought the girls bikes for Easter and Adalyn has been loving going on bike rides while I go on my walk or just riding her bike around the neigborhood!
DJ took Gabby to the groomer and she came home looking like a mutt. It was awful. I started calling her Boomer because she was so awful!
Soccer kept us busy this Spring. Adalyn had 2 games every weekend and only a few were close by. We spent a lot of time driving from game to game, but gosh, it's fun seeing her do something that she loves.

We also spent a weekend pulling weeds and planting flowers.
Adalyn got in on the work too! It took an entire weekend but we got everything done.
Adalyn came home from school one day and had "sold" her friends bracelets. So, we decided to start a little bracelet business. The girls and I have spent lots of evenings around the kitchen table making bracelets and it's been so much fun! We've even gotten some custom orders and we plan on keeping this up! They have a lot of things they want to do or buy and I thought this would be a good way for them to earn what they want to have.
I dropped off Megan at school one day, and took Gabby along. She was literally sitting on my shoulder on the way home.

DJ was off on a few Fridays so Adalyn convinced us to come have lunch with her at school. After lunch, he & I went on our own lunch date!
Gretchen performed in the Putnam County Spelling Bee, so one afternoon, DJ and I went to watch her play.
She's been in 3 school plays this year which have all kept her so busy!
After we spent one weekend working in the flower bed, DJ added mulch. It looks so much better than it did before! We tore out some plants, added new plants, pulled weeds, and planted some plants in flower pots.
I took the girls to see Are You There God, It's Me Margaret. It was so good!
Around the first of May, we tagged along with DJ's staff & students to Top Golf to celebrate the end of the year!
Just Adalyn and I were able to go, because the other girls had activities. I feel like it's rare that they're all 3 home at the same time!
Adalyn loves her Gabby.
And Megan loves stealing our phones and taking random selfies.
We all attended Megan's choir concert.
They sang Bohemian Raphsody and Party in the USA.

DJ and I had another lunch date.
And Adalyn had a school fun night one Friday evening.
She had a blast with her friends and DJ and I were ready for it to end- ha!
She had her face painted.
One Saturday, DJ and Adalyn went off to soccer and Megan and I went off to Target and then later met them at soccer. It was fun browsing Target with her.
Adalyn played goalie at her game. And then we all went to eat BBQ.
DJ went out of town for his work convention, and that Monday night, Gretchen and I cooked dinner together and I loved that she was home and spent the evening in the kitchen with me.
Reading, of course.
Then we made enchiladas and had the best time chatting.

I can't believe we only have a few more years with her at home.

Time sure does fly.

Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend was busy! I usually feel like our weekends are fairly relaxing, but this weekend, we were on the go!
Adalyn's school had field day on Friday. Since I was off, I was able to go and watch all of the fun! And gosh, she had so much fun!

She's made so many good friends this year!
Adalyn's class went from station to station, and played ring toss, soccer, frisbee, hula hoops, basketball....so many activities were set up!

They played "head, shoulders, knees, cone" and Adalyn beat her partner almost every time!

More friends, more fun!

Adalyn's class has a pet bearded dragon and she's begged us for one this year! We keep telling her no way! I was even more certain when her teacher tried to get me to hold it during the tug of war game! Nope, absolutely not! Adalyn held him though, and I was brave enough to pet him. But no way would I have one! I have a feeling she's going to have a lot of pets when she grows up and moves out.

After all the games, she ended with a face tattoo, and I said good-bye and went home to enjoy a few quiet hours before the girls came home and our Spring Break offiially began.

Saturday morning, we got up, did some light cleaning and then drove to Dripping Springs for Adalyn's soccer games.
They had to pay 5 on 5 the first game because so many kids were already gone for Spring Break!
She played great and her team won their first game, tied the 2nd game, and Adalyn even scored a goal!

Megan was invited to the Toby Mac concert with her friend. She had the best time!

Sunday morning was a scramble with the time change and getting up and getting ready for church. I had an event after church, so I had to shower, curl my hair, iron my dress, and then help the girls get ready some and it was a mad dash!
After church, I met some friends down town for a Boxt wine tasting event. The wine was delicious and so was the charcuterie.

But hanging with these ladies was the best! Thank you, Katrina for having us!
