November & the 1st 1/2 of December

You've got to love my really inventive titles- right?

Thanksgiving weekend the girls and I met Gee, Papaw, and Amelia 1/2 way so the girls could spend Thanksgiving in Arkansas. They also took Gabby with them :)

They love having Thanksgiving in Arkansas and going to Branson, so I told them that this year, they could go and have the week, but since next year is Gretchen's last Thanksgiving at home, they'll have to stay here. We're trying to convince Gee and Papaw to come here too!

They had a fun week in Arkansas and after Thanksgiving lunch, they went to Branson. My mom took them to Silver Dollar City, and of course to get their annual Santa picture.

Meanwhile, DJ and I were living it up at work and being kid free for the week.

Once they got back, we were full steam ahead with the SEC championship game. We opted to stay home and watch the game on TV- and look who we spotted doing some sideline work before the game!!

Faith and Scout came over to watch the game with us!
And even though we didn't win, we were super pumped to be in the championship game our 1st season in the conference.

On Sunday, Megan had her last tumbling class. We opted to take her out for several reasons- but mostly because her wrist is pretty banged up from years of tumbling.

Later in the week, Adalyn had her 1st band concert!

Megan was there taking pictures for the yearbook.

Can you spot our little French Hornist?

We were so proud of her!

December had a few basketball games thrown in; and it was fun to cheer her on.

And then I had the greatest idea ever, to gift my Secret Santa at work baby chicks!

The girls were obsessed.

DJ and I took the big girls to see Wicked.

And we spent a night at the Texas Athletic Department's Christmas party.

Gabby was super curious about the chickens!

And DJ and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary.

After having the chickens at our house for a week, I was off to work to gift them!

And he was totally surprised, but y'all, he literally asked for chickens on his wish list so I delivered!

HOCO 2024

October was a busy month for the girls!!! Homecoming took over most of the month and it was really fun getting the girls ready, taking pictures, having friends over- picking out dresses.....

I've said it a dozen times, but having teenage daughters is really fun!
Gretchen's friend, Bella came over to get ready for the dance.

And all of her friends met at our house before pictures, so I had some snacks and treats for them!

We took pictures by the lake this year.

We bought Gretchen's homecoming dress from a boutique in Fayetteville when we were on college tours. It was very Taylor Swift vibes and it was gorgeous on her!

You can tell when she feels beautiful and I love that for her.
Her friends are beautiful inside and out.

This is one of my favorite pictures of her!

A few days later, Megan and Adalyn had their homecoming dance. Megan's friend came over after school to get ready.

Adalyn's first middle school dance!

She felt gorgeous too and again, there's nothing better as a mother than seeing your kids happy.

This girl always feels beautiful. I wish every single person had an ounce of her self confidence.

Megan has made some really good friends this year too. I love seeing her grow in to a teenager.

She is following right in her big sister's footsteps but also forging her own path.

Adalyn's bestie Ria also met us for pictures!

Megan and a few of her friends at the dance.

And Adalyn and her boyfriend, Mason at the dance.
