Silly Girls, Some News, & a Few Order Peaks!

The girls have been in some sort of strange mood all week. I think it was daylight saving time. Megan is no longer staying in her room at night, and we're all exhausted by the end of the day.

Monday afternoon, G was watching t.v. like this:

Tuesday morning, Megan was acting like this:
I don't know what has gotten into those two girls but our home has been full of smiles, laughter, and exhaustion. Maybe the smiles and laughter are because of the exhaustion?

Addy Pearl had her 4 month well baby check up on Tuesday. She's a whopping 13 lbs 6 oz and is 24.4 inches long. 45th % for weight and 69% for height. I'm hoping she'll be tall like her daddy!
Wednesday morning, Megan was up at ten till 6. This was after she was in and out of our bed all night. She was still full of smiles and laughter all morning! I was feeding Addy, and she was trying to climb in my lap with her pillow and blanket.
I also just wanted to share, that I am so happy with where Honey Pie Accessories is right now. I just feel so blessed. Last year, my heart was not into my business and even the year before that. I was just doing a little here and there. But, in January of this past year, I made the decision to dive in head first again, and I just cannot believe where I am today. My fans are awesome. God is awesome.

This past week, I participated in a giveaway on Facebook, and I grew by 1,000 new fans! I'm just amazed! Because I finally reached over 4,000 likes I decided to host my own giveaway- you can enter here. The grand prize is a $20.00 gift certificate to my shop. Three smaller prizes include a free hair bow, and two coupon codes.

Once, I decided to host a 4,000 fan celebration, my likes grew quickly from 4,000 to 4,500 then over 4,700. I'm so close to having to host a 5,000 fan celebration and it's all because of y'all!

This week I've been busy working on Christmas pajama orders. I am so glad I opened these up to y'all to order as well, because I'm loving how they're turning out!

I know many of you missed out on Christmas pajamas, and seriously I was ordering these as time was running out! So, I'm planning far in advance, and working on a Spring Pajama Pre-Order! I've already decided that we need a new tradition in our family for the girls to have matching pajamas on Easter morning as well as Christmas morning!

I think you should add this new tradition to your family too!

This week I finished these two Christmas shirts for sisters! I'm working on their matching hair bows now!
Then, I did a little fun sewing. I made this adorable "Merry Christmas" leopard Santa bib with a matching leopard burp cloth! You can find it in the auction!
Then, I made these two boy burp cloths that are in the auction as well!
I just can't say thank you enough for everyone's support over the last several months!

I do have one more exciting announcement, and that is that this coming Monday, I will begin working full time again. I'm not going to lie, it's a little bittersweet, but I'm so excited! I know that my evenings are going to be filled with completing orders, as well as taking care of and spending time with my three girls. I'm sure my weekends will be filled with the same kind of fun! I just ask for your patience as I'm working so hard to complete orders. It is my ultimate dream that I can turn HPA into a full time business, but I know that with two young children in daycare, that it's not an option at the moment. I know many people will think that i'm crazy to make myself so busy, but if I didn't love it, I wouldn't do it!

I am taking a little break this weekend and traveling on our wives trip to East Carolina, so say a prayer as DJ and I travel with TU, and as my mom cares for all three girls!

Y'all have a great weekend!

What I Wore Wednesday

Today, I'm linking up with The Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday, as well as Because Shanna Said So! I'm so excited to share these outfits with y'all! A few days a week I'm trying to step out of the box or to at least get dressed up a little!
Monday was jeans day at work, and I flip over jeans day! I love being able to wear jeans rather than dress pants to work.

I purchased the polk a dot tank at the end of summer from Sashy Pants when she had it on sale. I loved the shirt once it came in, but I knew that it would be fall soon, and I had no idea what to wear the tank with.

Finally on Monday, I decided to be brave and mix prints, and I'm so glad that I did!

I paired my tank with a floral cardigan from Target that I purchased last spring.

I wore my coral flats and cuffed my skinny jeans.
I also wore coral earrings and cream and green chevron bangles.

I just love how the mix of patterns ended up!

On Halloween, I paired this dotted button up (The Limited) with a pair of jeans and mustard color flats.
On Saturday, I was super excited to wear my TU bling shirt for game day!

I paired my shirt with our bowl necklace from last year, blue earrings, and red flats.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Be sure to check out my Facebook page for a giveaway and an auction! I've recently reached over 4600 'likes' so I wanted to celebrate!

Last Week & Weekend Wrap Up

I'm skipping out on this weeks' Trendy Tot Tuesday to bring you an update of what went down in our house last week. Because, I know, you're all intrigued.
Meggie has been getting up super early over the last several days. Maybe because she can now open door knobs. This is not a milestone you want your toddler to achieve. So long, are the days of us sleeping in because she'll quietly play in her room or kick the door with her feet until we open it, but we're good at blocking out the noise. Nope, hello to the 6 am mornings of our toddler waking not only DJ and I, but her big sister, so she'll have someone to play with.

Anyway, now that she wakes up early, we put her to work feeding the dog. Maybe if we start making her do chores early, she won't complain as much as her big sister does.
I know I posted this picture, last week, but it's too cute to not share again! Here's Addy and Meggie in their matching caramel apple shirts from last Wednesday.
And, just a random shot while we were picking G up from school. I'll do anything to keep her from screaming in the car, including taking selfies.

Thursday was Halloween.

On Friday, Gretchen had "career day" at school, and Meggie had pajama day.
Naturally, Gretchen wants to be a professional princess.

I managed to snag "The Croods" from the Redbox Friday afternoon with my free code they sent me via email!
I was the coolest mom ever that night!

Friday night I made this dish and I just have to share b/c it was good y'all!

I sauted garlic with sausage and bell pepper. Then, I tossed it with bow tie pasta, fresh spinach, and parmesan cheese. I also think it would have been great with tomatoes!
Saturday was game day and I was so excited to wear my new TU bling shirt that I bought from Zulily!

I honestly did not think it would arrive before the season ended (sometimes their shipping is slow) but it did and I was so excited!!!
Ms. Addy Pearl wasn't too upset that we lost. Another one.

Sunday morning, I had brunch at Southern Hills with the football wives and some very generous ladies. I didn't really think it would be okay to snap pictures of their amazing wine room, buffet, or my plate of food and then try to explain that I blog, so I didn't.

But, I did wear my Loft dress with red flats and red jewelry and I devoured an omelet, hash browns, and fresh fruit, and I maybe sampled about four desserts as well!

After brunch, the girls and I headed to our neighbors for their daughter's 6th birthday. I love our little neighborhood and that there are several children close in age!
The theme was an Alice in Wonderland tea party, and all of the girls had hats to wear.
It was just precious! They served little finger sandwiches, fruit, and cheese. Had the most amazing cupcakes and a chocolate fountain!

The girls had so much fun!

And, before I forget, today is the last day to enter the giveaway at Poppy Petals & Lotus Leaves and you should head over to A Blonde Ambition and check out her post from last Friday!

Trick or Treat 2013

Last Thursday was Halloween, in case you've been living under a rock and you weren't aware. I'm thankful that I had Thursday off, and I was able to spend the entire morning with Meggie at preschool for all of her festivities!
I never let the girls wear their real costumes to school in case they ruin it before trick or treating, so Meggie was Minnie Mouse at school. Our neighbor gave us this little Minnie Mouse dress, and it was perfect! We already had ears and a Minnie Mouse hair bow

Her school had a little parade down the hallway and teachers were passing out candy. We got their right before the parade started, and Megan was totally confused as to what was going on. She really hates new situations and is slow to warm up, so that's why she looks so pathetically upset in the picture above.
Once she realized she was getting candy, she was much happier. The kids sat at the other end of the hallway and dug through their candy before heading back to their classroom. Then, they were able to eat a piece when they got back to class.
Then, we went to an indoor pumpkin patch. Usually, they set it up outside, but the weather had been rainy last Tuesday and Wednesday, so they did everything inside.
She also got a little pumpkin tattoo.

Then, had her picture made with the school pumpkins. She matched pretty perfectly.

This is her with the pumpkin she chose to bring home.
Then, we went back to her class and they had a party.
I had so much fun hanging out with her. I was the only parent that was there in the morning and only one other dad came for the actual party, so I was able to read the kids books and play with them. I had so much fun!

I brought both Addy and Megan home with me after Megan's party. I totally thought that Megan would take a good afternoon nap and that I could sew until Gretchen got home from school, and that totally backfired. Megan slept maybe an hour and it took her forever to fall asleep because she was on such a sugar high.

When Gretchen finally came home, I started getting the girls ready for trick or treating. Gretchen decided to be Sofia the First. This is the first year that I didn't make her costume. She told me that she was afraid I would mess it up. So, I ordered her a dress from the Disney store. I curled her hair and put a little bit of make up on her.
Megan was a witch. I made her a tutu dress and hat to wear.

Addy was also a witch, and she wore her costume to daycare, but I didn't get a picture. Then, she wet through a diaper and soaked her costume and it would've been too cold for her to wear it that night anyway, so I put her in this little witch outfit, that Gretchen wore for her first Halloween and I kept Addy's little witch hat on her.

Our babysitter texted me and asked if she could trick or treat with us, and I was so excited to have some help! I usually get the girls ready and we start trick or treating, and then DJ meets up with us in the neighborhood when he gets off work.

She came over and helped me get the last final touches complete on the girls costumes and then was able to take a picture of me with the girls.
Here's Addy bundled in the stroller before we left the house.

And the big girls with their buckets and our pumpkins in our front yard.
The very first house we went to.
Meggie walking to the next house.
I have to say that we have the best neighborhood. DJ and I really want to buy a house here in Tulsa, but I just cannot imagine living in a different neighborhood. Gretchen ran into a little girl that she met at the pool two summers ago, and they started trick or treating together. Gretchen talked about that little girl for months after the pool that summer and then we never saw her again. Turns out, we didn't see her this summer because her mom had a baby in June.
Gretchen had so much fun getting candy!

Meggie wanted us to go to the doors with her.
We ran into more friends and stopped to get a picture.
Toward the end of the night, we ran into Macy, a little girl that Gretchen took dance with two years ago. They're both in kindergarten at the same school, but they have different teachers, and the girls played together at the pool this summer. Macy had a few other little friends with her, so they all trick or treated together for a while!
We finally made it home after an hour and a half of trick or treating, and the girls dumped out all their candy to dig through!

It was such a fun and exhausting night! We still aren't caught up on our sleep! Hope you had a happy Halloween too!

5 on Friday

I'm linking up again this week for "5 on Friday" with several amazing blog hosts! Thanks ladies for letting us join in on the fun!

1. Here's a sneak peak at the girls before we headed out trick or treating last night. I'll do a full right up next week; i'm just too pooped to do it right now!

And, before we move on, I have no idea why the formatting is like this, just go with it, mm'kay.

2. Meggie and Addy wore their caramel apple shirts and bows that I made them to school earlier this week and they just looked so cute! Megan has been asking to hold Addy more this week. Addy was fussing after waking up for a nap and I was busy doing something, or maybe just lazy, so I asked DJ to go get Adalyn and change her diaper. He asked Megan to do it, and the next thing we knew, Meggie was getting a diaper out for Addy and then trying to crawl in Addy's crib!
3. I shipped out all Christmas pillowcases on Monday! I was so relieved to get them done! But, there is still time to order if you'd like!
4. The girls were still on a sugar high this morning, and I couldn't be more thankful to send them to school today! I'm planning a low key night, and i'm hoping to snag this movie from Redbox today!
5. It's drug free week at Gretchen's school and all week she has dressed up along with the theme, and I forgot to take pictures. But today is, "What I want to be when I grow up" and Gretchen chose a princess. Of course she did. Megan had pajama day, so we sent her to school in her Thanksgiving pj's!

Hope y'all have a great Friday!
