Summer Time....

Whew! We're having a fantastic summer! So much in so, that blogging has been on the back burner, and it may stay that way this summer. By taking a step back, I've been able to focus on some self love, my business, and most importantly, my family.

Here's a little bit of what we've been up to this summer.
We hit the gym one morning and Adalyn wanted to wear her cheerleading outfit. Go for it girl, it's summer!
This summer I've decided that my girls are going to get some lessons in independence. They're fixing their breakfast, lunch, and doing morning chores, and it's fantastic.
I mean, as long as they eat, who cares if they put strawberries on top of pb&j.
Addy decided she wanted a bagel for lunch :)
We're spending lots of mornings in pjs, and last week, Gretchen challenged me to a game of Guess Who. She beat me 3 times before she admitted that she was cheating! Apparently, all of our people are in the same position on both boards, so when I flipped down my character she immediately knew who I had. But, she kept asking me questions and playing a few turns before always guessing mine correctly. She's a smart one.
One afternoon, I set out all the quick fixings we had in the fridge- chopped veggies, fruit, leftovers, and let the girls pick and choose what they wanted to eat. This was a great way to clear out lots of room in our fridge!
And we've made it to the pool a few times, but not as often as I'd like! I could live there though.
These sweet sisters.

DJ had football camp, so one evening, we we went to the gym, drove through CFA, and made our way to football. I love seeing these girls grow up on the football field, even when they're less than thrilled about it some times.
Addy even brought her baby along.
And, she eventually cheered up.
And Megan did gymnastics everywhere she could.
Morning snuggles are the best in the summer.
We finished up swim lessons last week and the girls did great! Megan is a much better swimmer than when she started.
Last week, Addy Pearl helped me do an Instagram live make up tutorial. I mean, she's kind of a pro.
A make up selfie.
Can I tell y'all another lunch trick? A big smoothie. I pack this sucker with frozen fruit, spinach, beet powder, balance complete from young living, blend, and bam. The girls have a fun, antioxidant packed drink for lunch.
So good!
Addy P and I headed to the gym one evening by ourselves, and yup, she still had on her make up :)
We hit the pool Friday with friends.
On Saturday, Gretchen made chocolate truffles from her American Girl cookbook.
And, they were so yummy!
We headed to church Sunday morning.
And then drove to Arkansas to drop off big sister, and came home with one less kid!
We decided to take a detour on the way home, and ended up at Lake Tenkiller. We let the girls play at the park for a bit.

And, DJ and I played too!
We stopped at the nature center.
And then made it home in time to grab a pizza for dinner!

And, that's what we've been up to! This week, I leave for Utah, and I can't wait to be back! I'm going to take the rest of the week off from blogging :) But, you can follow along on Instagram, or search #welteyltravels on Instagram.

A Big Huge Update

So, when I blogged last week, about our end of the school year festivities, I realized I left out a few things. Whoops! So, today, I'm bringing you a big huge update on things I missed out on, and what we've been up to now that school is out!
First up, Adalyn had water day at her preschool and had so much fun!

Her preschool had an ABC countdown, and had fun activities starting with A and working their way down to Z for zero days of school left! I absolutely love this idea! Obviously, water day was on W day.
Gretchen also had an awards assembly and we couldn't have been more proud of her being on the Principal's Honor Roll! Home girl had straight A's all year and is ready for 8th grade math activities and is on an 11th grade reading level.
We can't wait to see what 5th grade brings!
She also had a presentation for our school's gifted program. All year she researched the state of Florida and created her dream back yard. Then, she got to present it for parents and students.

This girl worked so hard on her project!
And we were excited daddy could come hang too!

We hit up our neighborhood pool on Memorial day and the girls had so much fun swimming!
We are all about rash guards this summer!

Megan received a birthday present in the mail from her aunt, uncle, and cousin.... a gymnastics Barbie! Right up her alley!
Last week, Megan and Adalyn started swim lessons. My goal is for Megan to become a stronger swimmer and for Adalyn to be more confident in the water.

On the last day of school, we celebrated with ice cream for dinner after swim lessons.
And on the first day of summer, this is what the landing looked like.
Oh my. The girls ended up sleeping here and then they had to clean it all up the next day!
And then we had more swim lessons :)

Morning snuggles are the best! Especially when we don't have to be anywhere. Hello, summer!
This past Saturday, Megan took an extra gymnastics class and then we ran to the grocery store. They were giving free cake for their birthday celebration and she was pumped!
Later that afternoon, I hit up the pool with Megan and Adalyn.
DJ worked in the backyard all day on Saturday and smoked ribs for dinner.

Addy and I were admiring his work while she enjoyed a yogurt drink.
And then she snuck in some daddy snuggles.
Sunday afternoon, Megan and I went to a baby shower, and it obviously wore her out! She never falls asleep in the car anymore!
I found G playing with her legos.
And I spent Sunday night deep cleaning Megan's room. She got a doll tent for her birthday, but it's totally big enough for her to sit in! Her dolls are going to have lots of fun camp outs this summer!

Whew! That's it for a big catch up! Our summer is off to a super fun start and we're enjoying our time home!
