Gretchen's Sweet 16.

Gretchen turned 16 in January and we were so excited to celebrate her! Her Gee and Gee's friend, Libby came down to celebrate! We decided to meet her at the bus stop wtih balloons, confetti cannons, and a birthday crown!

She was so surprised.

and maybe slightly embarassed.

But she was so excited to see her Gee.

Gee got her cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery in Waco, so when she got home we sang Happy Birthday and let her blow out her candle.

DJ was taking the little girls to the daddy daughter dance, but not before he got a picture with the birthday girl.

We borrowed a balloon arch from a neighbor and spent Friday night, blowing up balloons and decorating.
We rented the linens, tables, and chairs, and bought flowers from Costco to make the arrangements.

Gee did a fabulous job with all of the flowers!

We set out a few mirror balls too!

Her cake was perfectly Taylor Swift inspired.

We dressed up for all the fun!

Each guest went home with a mirror ball filled with goodies and a friendship bracelet.

We served Olive Garden, which was one of her birthday traditions from when she was little.

We were so thankful that Mrs Libby could be there with Gee!

One of her friends painted this album cover for her!

Her Pops and Grandma Dee bought her a pearl necklace.

Lots of Taylor Swift was sung!

Every day I'm so thankful for Gretchen. I'm thankful that she has friends in her life that love her for who she is. I'm thankful to have a front row seat to the woman she is becomming.
