Trendy Tot Tuesday: Let's Go Shopping

Tonight I'm linking up with Table for Three and Trendy Tot Tuesday. I realize it's a little late, but, better late than never!
Beginning tomorrow, you can redeem your $10 for $25.00 cash from Old Navy, and I have some shopping to do for the girls! Both are in need of leggings to wear under dresses, and Gretchen is in need of jeans, but I've also spotted a few more adorable outfits that may end up in my shopping cart!

First up is this darling sweater dress. I wish it came in my size!

I have been eyeing this gold corduroy skirt for the past month at Old Navy! It would be perfect for TU games, especially paired with royal blue tights, and their "football princess" shirts!

And, I love these little cotton dress! Best part, is that they're on sale for just $10.00! Pair these with leggings and it's a stylish comfortable look for preschool!

It takes a lot of convincing to get Gretchen to wear blue jeans, so I do let her wear dresses a ton! But, many that she has are left over from last year, so she needs a few new dresses that are kindergarten appropriate. I just love this graphic horse sweater dress.

I also found these shirts the last time I was in their store, and I fell in love with the style of the shirt. It would be perfect paired with leggings and boots or with skinny colored jeans.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I have some shopping to do!

Woo-Hoo Fall Break!

The girls and I headed to Arkansas to spend Fall Break with my family! We weren't for certain until late Tuesday night that we were going, but I was excited that we had the chance to go! We headed down Wednesday after school and had such a fantastic time!

On Thursday, we loaded up the girls, plus my niece and went to visit my grandmother.
She made a breakfast casserole and homemade biscuits for lunch.

I love my grandma's cooking!
After lunch I took the girls outside to run and play. My grandmother lives in a nothing of a town in Arkansas, on acres upon acres of land. The girls could explore for hours if we let them!
My mom want's a photo phone case for Christmas this year, so I thought it would be a good time to get a picture of all of the girls together. But, it was too cold for Adalyn to go outside, so I attempted some pictures of the big girls.
I ended up getting fantastic pictures but not one good picture of all three girls together.

This picture cracks me up. It shows their true personalities. Gretchen is my little diva and Meggie is my shy, timid one.
All of the girls fell asleep on the way home! Success.

So, to buy some time, my mom and I drove around Conway and looked at houses.
My mom got out the bouncy seat for Adalyn, and I was surprised at how much she enjoyed it! I think after three girls and five + years, our bouncy seat just doesn't cut it anymore. I almost brought hers home with me!

Meggie wanted her picture made with Addy.
On Friday, my mom went to physical therapy, and my brother and I hung out and took care of all the girls. They got dressed and went outside to play.

I love Gretchen's sense of style!
T-shirt- Crazy 8
Skirt- Lolly Wolly Doodle
Rain boots- Hand Me Downs
Addy hung out in her pj's all day, and on Friday night DJ drove down after work and joined us for the remainder of the weekend!

Miss Addy is going to be our little thumb sucker.

Saturday morning, my sister in law had a house warming party.

Afterwards, we loaded up and drove to Scott, Ar to a pumpkin patch owned by my stepdad's friend. He grows pumpkins and then sells to patches and stores, but toward the end of the season, he let's my family go out and pick all the pumpkins our hearts desire.

Gretchen has never seen cotton before, so we showed it to her up close and then my mom told her about how it's used for clothes, and we let her pick a little piece to bring back home.

We loaded up my brother's truck full of pumpkins. We had so much fun having a free for all in the pumpkin patch and we may have gotten a little carried away.

We ate dinner at a little dive in Scott, and then drove home to divide out our pumpkins.
These were the ones left over after my mom, sister in law, and I all grabbed what we wanted!

Sunday, we drove home and I wrapped up the weekend doing laundry. I know, you're all jealous!

I love being close to my family so we can go home for a long weekend! It was so relaxing and the perfect way to spend our fall break!

Just Stopping By

The girls and I headed down last night to my parents house in Arkansas. Gretchen is on fall break, and I couldn't get out of town fast enough! My poor hubby has a bye weekend this weekend, and he'll likely be home by himself on Saturday, unless I can convince him to join us in Conway; even though he'll have a very quick trip.

Anyway, Monday was a work day for me, and then I was so excited to have Tuesday off again!
I think this picture was taken Monday night. Addy Pearl has a cold, and sleep has been far from perfect and I just feel awful that she's all congested. Her cry is so muffled right now, and you can tell that her cold is just draining making her voice weak.

She took a really good nap Monday afternoon, and then after we got the big girls in bed, DJ and I made Addy have some tummy time because she may or may not be rolling over. I'm in denial. And am convinced that all the times she has rolled over have been accidental.

She still wasn't feeling well on Tuesday, but we headed off to Bible study anyway. Then we ran tons and tons of errands and I know that she would've rather been home in her own bed.
I guess I was in fall break mode, even though I had to work a half day on Wednesday, because we put the girls to bed late Tuesday night. I'll tell myself that I wanted them to see their daddy, but honestly, I was probably just too lazy and unconvinced to actually tuck the girls in.

Since we waited until DJ got home, we all said prayers together in Megan's bed. The girls were just being so sweet to each other and had played so well together and honestly were wound up, but they both fell fast asleep once they were in their own beds.

Too bad Addy had other plans. I tried putting her to sleep at 8:30, and around 10, she still was not asleep. So, I fed her again, and she finally fell asleep, but was up again from 12:30-2, then again from 3-4:30, and my alarm went off by 5:30. Thankfully, I had a burst of energy to get through the day, sat through my training, and then I picked Adalyn up from daycare, and met DJ and Gretchen at Pei Wei for lunch. Gretchen is not a Pei Wei fan, so I brought her a wacky pack from Sonic.

After lunch, we went home and packed, and then ran back by daycare to pick Megan up so we could drive to my parent's house.

I should never leave after nap time again, because Megan was so cranky and just wanted out of her carseat! Adalyn did great, and Gretchen even took a nap, which delayed dinner and made Megan even more fussy than she already was.

We finally stopped at Wendy's and I let the girls have Frosty's with their kids meals and then we drove the rest of the way to my parents house and made it about 8:30 Wednesday night.

So, I just wanted to stop by, say hi, and wish you all a great weekend! I won't be blogging again until next week some time! I'm thankful for a few days of rest and relaxation!

It was a Craft Weekend!

DJ was out of town this past weekend for TU's game against UTEP. We won in case you were wondering! (Seriously y'all, it's pathetic how much football has become my life.) Anyway, I was so excited that he'd be out of town! I love my husband, and I have a love/hate relationship with his career, but every once in a while I get so excited that he's going to be away!

Want to know why?
.........................................................
..................................................
................................
............
...

Because, I get to do this all weekend long!
Well, this and take care of our girlies!
So, my craft weekend actually started on Thursday. I took the girls to school, well, maybe DJ did? But I set to work on projects on Thursday, with a brief interruption of a few hours of my real job on Friday afternoon.

My neighbors are wonderful and have been so helpful this year! Mrs. Carmen will come over just to hold a baby, and her kids come over to play with the big kids, and I get to accomplish some task around the house. She also brings me decadent desserts and wine. On top of that, they watch Gretchen two mornings a week when I have to go in early. Seriously, they're wonderful.

She asked me to make her daughter two hair pretties, so P (her daughter) came over and she picked out the satin cluster piece above. It's so adorable for Christmas, but seriously y'all, it can be worn year round!
P is in a wedding in November, and we decided upon a purple nagorie feather for her hair piece. I accented it with ivory loops, and a tiny deep purple bow, and a piece of purple bling.
Fallon requested this satin cluster piece for her daughter when she saw it for sale during a comment game on my Facebook Page.

The original piece had jingle bells and a tiny red sequin bow. I re-ordered the cluster flowers, and when I began working on the piece, I realized I was almost out of jingle bells and completely out of sequins bow. So, I did what any one would do. I improvised.

It's a good thing I did because I love this! I love it more than the first piece! I added the jingle bells that I had remaining, along with pearls (my favorite stone) (Random Fact that all three of my girls have the name "Pearl" somehow incorporated into their name.) then I also added a red bow with a polymer clay reindeer.
I also had to finish up October Bow of the Month Club orders, and I created the above hair bow for Kendra, the newest member of the club!
And for weeks, I've been swamped with y'all's orders (that's a word right? "y'all's") that I hadn't had time to complete these caramel apple hair bows for my own little girls, so I finally finished them!

Y'all tired yet?
Since Thursday was bow day, Saturday and Sunday were applique day.

I first made this little Grinch tie. And, another random fact- I've been told by several people, all of whom don't really know each other, that I may or may not look like the Grinch when I smile.

I shouldn't have shared that with y'all because you're going to notice in all of my pictures now!
And, I appliqued four trick or treat bags!

The above bag is the only bag that is still available, so if you must have it- It's $25.00 shipped! It would be so cute as a teacher gift too, just stuff in some candy and a starbucks gift card, and your child's teacher will have the best Halloween ever!

Love what you see?

Busy, Busy

We have been so busy lately! I love this time of year, but there's always so much going on!
Gretchen was exhausted when she came home from school Wednesday. I went to the bathroom and came out and found her asleep on the living room floor. She never falls asleep unless she's sick and thank goodness she was not sick, just worn out!
Which left Meggie and I to enjoy dinner together.

We ended up skipping choir since Gretchen fell asleep, and i'm not going to lie, I was relieved to have the evening home. I managed to get a little embroidery work finished while G was napping, and MC hung out with me and fixed my hair.

DJ came home a little early Wednesday night and the girls had fun playing with him! He always gets home right as the girls are going to bed, and sometimes afterwards, so it's nice when they have a few minutes to play together.
On Thursday, I took Addy to daycare in the morning, and I volunteered at Gretchen's school. I put together their folders with information needing to go home and I cut out pieces for 22 owls. I have a new respect for kindergarten teachers cutting out that many owl pieces just for a puppet that will most likely get thrown in the trash or torn up.

I think i'll be sure to keep Gretchen's since I helped make it!

After cutting everything out and stuffing all of the folders, I was able to sneak in and sit with Gretchen while she ate her lunch.
The girls and I had fun playing Thursday night.... because I was procrastinating unloading my dishwasher. Again.

When I got home Friday, I found my brand new embroidery machine waiting on my doorstep!!!!

Friday night the girls played outside with their little neighbor friends while the adults sat and shared wine and gossip. It was a perfect evening. The girls didn't get into bed until 9.

Saturday morning I did a little bit of laundry and picking up the house and some applique' projects, followed by lunch time with the girls. We had peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, and Megan decided her sandwich made a better mask.

She just thought she was hilarious!

I'm glad it was bath night!

Our neighbors came over and brought me cheesecake. I really wish they'd stop sharing their desserts with me! They stayed and watched the first half of the TU vs. UTEP game and Mrs. Carmen french braided the girls hair.

After baths, I had G pick out her pajamas and she came back down in her TU Liberty Bowl shirt that she sleeps in! I was proud of her for picking out a football shirt so we could watch the game and cheer on the Hurricane to their 2nd W of the season!
