Family Visit and Pumpkin Pickin'

Last weekend was busy and tons of fun! G had fall break on Thursday and Friday, so we were able to stay home and hang out. DJ was in Houston for a football game, and he was able to catch up with some college friends. He also realized that he's too old now to act like a college boy- ha!

Thankfully, TU won their game and the team headed home.

DJs aunt and uncle from Dallas happened to be in the T area for a bowling tournament, so they came over for breakfast Sunday morning. I tried a crockpot breakfast casserole recipe from Pintrest, that turned out okay, and they of course, brought gifts for the girls.
I'm pretty sure G has come to expect that when we have visitors, she'll get a gift, but she was super excited about this birthday play-doh set she received, as I had an anxiety attack picturing all the play-doh pieces on the floor. And yes, they are there, waiting to be swept up tomorrow.

One of my favorite pins is, "Pardon the mess, my children are making memories." I may just decal that to the entry way, and then I will never have to clean again!
I think I know where the girls blue eye's come from after seeing MC with her Uncle R.
And, she even let her Aunt C hold her!

Later that afternoon, I took the girls to the pumpkin farm with a new friend of ours.
G thought the petting zoo was pretty neat, but she was a little timid when it came to actually petting the animals. She would not really pet them on their faces, but a pat on the back was okay. Once.
She fed the animals, but would not let them eat from her hand. Those poor animals had to find it on the ground!
One of our new T-town, coaching wife friends and her cutie little boy E went with us to the pumpkin patch! We all enjoyed the wagon ride, but I'm pretty sure K was more excited than the kiddos!

G would not cooperate for a picture, and you never know with MC, so this was the best we got of the three of us!G on the wagon ride!
The pumpkin farm had pony and camel rides. G told me that she would ride a pony, but I did so not believe her! I went ahead and purchased a ticket anyway, making sure that I could get a refund if she chickened out, but she did it! She went ride up to the pony and hopped right on and rode like such a big girl! I was so shocked and proud of her!

Looks like pa needs to buy his grand girls a pony!
Finally after all of our fun, we went and picked out our pumpkins. I think G had a great time crawling around on them and rolling them over trying to find the perfect one!
