A few weeks ago, I had someone asked me how I had time to straighten my hair every day. I told her that I didn't have a choice- ha! But, that it only takes about 5 or so minutes.
I try to have a fairly easy hair style, because I need something fast, but I also love having my hair straight and poofed. If you don't know what a poof is, you're not southern!
I don't even blow dry my hair with a big round brush, unless I'm wanting to dress up a bit. I just blow dry it and use no product before.
^ This is my hair right after I blow dry it. See, why I need to straighten it? Because of the layers it's poofy on the sides about half way up!
This is right after I straighten my hair. It's just really flat, so I need to poof.
Here's how to poof: grab a section of hair at the crown of your head and spray the under side with hairspray. Brush your hair starting at the base, and brush downward. Drop a bit that has poofed, and repeat with the top section of that hair.
Next, I poof the sides just a little bit. I grab a section on the side, spray, and brush downward.
All done!
Oh, you are so lucky you can style your hair so quickly. Mine takes a minimum of 20 mins just to blow dry and that's without any styling. I've pretty much given up on styling right now because straigtening only lasts a few hours in my hair and curling at this length isn't working for me either. When it gets longer again I should be able to go back to curling, but there's another 15-20 mins of my morning. I think I need a continuing education class where someone can teach me how to tame me tresses.
