I love baking with my girls; especially during the holiday season! Today, I'm sharing the most tasty treat, that will be fun to make with your kids, and will be the perfect edition to any holiday baking you may have left!
Seriously, these are so easy, so moist, so yummy. You're going to thank me!
If you have a New Year's Eve party to host or attend, or you still need a late Christmas gift for your neighbors, these are perfect!
You'll need one package of oreo cookies. (I bought the family size.) 1 block of cream cheese, and 1 large bag of white chocolate chips or white almond bark.
Dump the entire package of oreos into your mixer. I use to crush these by hand, but if you have a mixer, just put the cookies in, and turn it on.
It's so easy to crush the cookies in your mixer!
Once the cookies are crushed, add a block of cream cheese. (softened)
Continue mixing.
When you're done, your mix will look like this. It will be really creamy.
Put the mix in your refrigerator, and let it cool for about 15-30 minutes.
Line a cookie sheet with wax paper.
Grab the mix out of your fridge, and using a cookie scoop, scoop little balls of mix onto the wax paper.
With your hands, make the balls more smooth. This will make them easier to dip, and a bit prettier! Again, place them back in the fridge for a little bit.
Then, you'll want to melt your chocolate.
I melt my chocolate in the microwave. Cook for 30 seconds-1 minute at a time. I typically start at 1 minute, and then work my way down, and stir between each cooking interval.
It takes about 1-2 minutes to fully melt your chocolate. But seriously, melt in small intervals!!! You don't want to scald the chocolate.
Dip the cookie balls into the chocolate.
I just use a spoon. You can use a toothpick if you want!
Once dipped, place the cookie balls back on to the cookie sheet. The chocolate will begin to harden, or you can put them back in the fridge to harden completely.
You can get fancy and drizzle chocolate, but I prefer to keep it simple! They're cute little snowballs.
The inside taste like an oreo cookie that has been dipped in milk almost too long! Yum!!!
Run to the store and make these now! You can come back and thank me later!
