It's Friday! And normally, I'd be pumped for a Friday, but now it means that we're one week closer to the end of summer, one week closer to school starting again, me going back to work, and football starting (which just makes our life crazy, busy, and fun!)
Since we moved toward the first of summer, it really felt like we weren't able to enjoy the month of June. Then we went on vacation and we are finally home and we don't really have any plans for the rest of summer. DJ has started back to football and they start practice in just a few weeks.
The girls and I have spent many days at the pool and just hanging out at home.
One afternoon Meggie decided she needed to wear all the hair clips.
And the next day, she picked out this outfit. I thought she looked like a go-go dancer! The girls have been living in either their bathing suit or a leotard lately.
We baked cookies last week when it rained the entire day of my birthday!
The girls love licking the beater!
We celebrated me turning 33. DJ was super sweet and bought me flowers and a cake. I was so excited to cut into my chocolate cake, and it turned out to be white! I was SO disappointed! Ha! My mom said she'd make it up to me on our trip to her house for the weekend, and when we got there, I found out she had bought a white cake too! I'm obviously a chocolate cake kind of gal!
The next day, Addy was Miss Pouty Pants as we waited for DJ to get home from his morning at the football offices.
The rest of the afternoon was spent driving in the car. Once we made it to my parent's house, the girls were on a mad dash for the trampoline!
Which was FILTHY!
I mean, for real, how do trampolines get this nasty?! Ha! Megan's face was priceless, and we had to force her to let us get this picture! She would not stay still! Needless to say, it was bath night for all!
The next day, we laoded up in Gee's car and headed to my grandma's house for lunch.
On the way back, Megan fell asleep and I had to take this picture for DJ. DJ may or may not have a picture of me sleeping the exact same way on our recent road trip!
After swimming and a little cookout Saturday afternoon, it was a cousin sleepover!
Except, my niece decided she wanted to sleep at her house, so it ended up being just my girls!
Sunday morning, my mom took the big girls to Sunday School and we met up with them for "big" church. I only had Addy for our weekly Sunday picture. Girl has legs for days!
Over the weekend, Megan picked up a jalapeno pepper that was laying on my mom's kitchen counter top. She thought it was a bell pepper and touched it to her lip. She instantly started screaming and crying and that darn pepper had burned her lips! She didn't even bite into it. I used coconut oil and lavender essential oil on it, and within a day or two, the burns were gone.

We drove home Sunday afternoon, and I told the girls that we would spend every day at the pool this week. We've taken our lunch every day, except Thursday, we went to the pool in after naps rather than in the morning.
I took Gretchen to church Monday afternoon to talk with our pastor about her getting baptised. She prayed in May for Jesus to live in her heart and a few weeks ago, we contacted the church about her baptism. She'll be getting baptised in a few weeks and I could not be more proud of my girl. She loves Jesus and I think at her age, she knows all she can about being a Christian, and it's a decision that I know she made 100% by herself.
After baths, these girls were ready for their sleepy creme rubdown!
And we were ready for another pool day!
Adalyn is loving blueberries! Every time I open the refrigerator door, she's grabbing a handful!
And we spent an afternoon painting.
We've seriously (finally) had some lazy days around here filled with exactly the things that summer should be filled with!
