Our weekend was crazy busy, but we squeezed in so much fun that I'd repeat it all over again.
Thursday evening we came home from dance and just crashed. We cuddled and watched some t.v.
We took some silly selfies.
And then we played a serious game of checkers.
After school on Friday, I rounded up the big girls and we headed home to get ready for the TU game that night. After we changed clothes, grabbed our game gear, we headed to pick up Adalyn from daycare.
Of course, Megan fell asleep on the way to the game.
We actually arrived earlier than I thought we would, so we headed inside to the offices, saw DJ, and then found our place in the stands.
These girls were ready to watch the game!
We typically watch the game from inside the offices. We have a family suite that we're able to use during the games. I have an end zone window view, and the girls play in the back of the room. They were really excited about sitting outside and actually being able to see all of the festivities that go on before the games. I however, was a bit anxious about how they'd do in the stands. Handling three children in an unconfined space terrifies me, but we took one for the team.
I brought the Ergo for Adalyn, and Gretchen and Megan did really well once they had food to keep them entertained! We also had a friend whose husband was working the game, so she sat with us and helped me wrangle the girls.
The team was running out, and I pointed out their daddy to them.
We spent the next four hours cheering on the Hurricane as they took on the undefeated Memphis. Our team played their hearts out. They fought so hard. DJ asked why we ended up staying so late and I told him because the game was so good!
We didn't make it home until 11, so it was a very late night!
Since we played on Friday, DJ was off on Sunday, so we made it a family day. We squeezed in all the fall that we possibly could!
We took the girls to the pumpkin patch and fed all of the animals.
Adalyn wasn't so sure about letting the goat eat out of her hand.
The girls loved seeing the sheep.
This guy was extra friendly!
And hungry too!
After we fed the animals, we went over to let the girls ride the pony's.
Gretchen waiting patiently for her turn!
She loves riding the pony's at the pumpkin patch.
And this was the first year that Megan rode all by herself!
We tried to put Adalyn on, but she was not having it.
After their pony rides, we went on the hay ride.
And then we headed over to find the perfect pumpkin.
And took advantage of a few photo ops around the pumpkin patch.
And we ran around a lot!
On the way home we ordered pizza. As soon as we got home, I changed in to comfy clothes, fixed myself some pizza and curled up on the couch to some football games.
After our late lunch, we let the girls do some painting.
Once our paint was dry, the girls drew jack-o-lantern faces on their pumpkins.
Gretchen decided her pumpkin needed hair and freckles. Lots of freckles.
And then it was pumpkin carving time.
Gretchen ended up choosing one of the biggest pumpkins she could find.
We chose a small pumpkin for Adalyn.
And Megan chose a middle size pumpkin.
It was a team effort to scoop out the pumpkin seeds of the gigantic pumpkin.
And as always, the girls loved playing in all of the "pumpkin guts"
I don't think I've seen so many pumpkin guts! Gretchen was begging us to cook the seeds, but the last time we tried it was a huge failure. So we told her it was a no go.
Addy wasn't too sure about all of the guts, but she was sure about cheesing big time for the camera.
And DJ helped Megan scoop out all of her pumpkin's guts.
As DJ carved the jack o lanterns, I sliced apples for the girls and gave them caramel dip.
Adalyn went to town on the caramel.
These girls loved their caramel dip!
DJ also spent Saturday afternoon working on our gallery wall in the dining room. I absolutely love how it turned out! And, I've only been waiting since August for him to get this done. #footballseasonproblems
Sunday morning we stayed home and worked on laundry, and then I headed out to Southern Hills for a brunch with the football wives, and some amazing university supporters. We've had this brunch every year, and I look forward to it yearly. Being around the supports, and women that understand what I go through every single day, well, it's just the best.
That afternoon I came home, and worked on more laundry, while the big girls were in the kitchen.
They were creating some yummy dinner for our guests arriving later that night!
My cousin, and her twins were heading up Sunday afternoon so they could attend a college tour day at TU on Monday, and it was my cousins birthday, so the girls figured they needed to make her something to celebrate!
We headed out to dinner at Los Cabos and came home for some games and cupcakes!
I had to share this little oil combo because I diffused it Sunday afternoon and it gave my house the most delicious Fall smell!
