Working It....

Happy Monday! Every once in a while around here, I like to share a little bit of my workout and fitness journey and just share what it looks like. As a busy mom, it's hard finding time for me, and squeezing in workouts. My routine isn't perfect and it changes weekly, but I know that it's important for me to squeeze it in when I can.
In February, I did a 5 day cleanse to help reset my eating habits, and I'd say it's worked really well. Afterwards, I didn't crave sweets as much as I had (I have a major sweet tooth and zero will power), but I really think this cleanse taught me that it's important to listen to your body, eat whole foods, get enough fiber, and helped me regain confidence that I can have willpower.
Like I said, my gym routine varies. Some days I'll just work to get in 2-3 miles on the elliptical. Other days I take a class or find a workout from pinterest
I love switching up my workouts and moving between dumbells, the bar, and kettlebells. Personally, I get board in the gym if I do the same workout over and over again.

Somehow, I came across Kyliefit on Facebook, and she'll share some great fitness routines, I screenshot them, and then pull them out when I'm needing a workout idea.
And this year, I had friends convince me to try a spin class. I swore I would never do a spin class, but I'm kind of loving it! Unfortunately, the timing of the classes, aren't always in my favor, but I can usually squeeze in a few classes a month. Plus, you burn a ton of calories during spin!
When I know I can't make it to the gym, I'll find a yoga video on YouTube and set it up to our t.v.
This month, I've grabbed some friends and we're doing a 30 day squat challenge. We have to complete 100 squats each day in March, and I'm finally boosting it up and adding some weights to my squat challenge.
Finally, I'm learning to find some balance. On Taco Tuesday, I'll cut out the tortillas and fix quinoa and sweet potatoes instead of chips and queso.

This journey isn't easy, and at the end of the day, I want to have a positive body image, and that doesn't necessarily correlate to the number on the scale or the size of my pants.
