Camp Gee

Last Sunday, we headed toward Arkansas and dropped Gretchen off so she could spend a week with her Gee and PaPaw. My mom has been taking the girls every summer, when she can, and they spend several days with her. She takes just one at a time, and let's them choose their activities. They look forward to it every summer!

Gretchen was suppose to go a few weeks ago, but she got sick, and then Gee got sick, so we re-scheduled for the week that I was in Salt Lake.
Monday morning, she gave me a call on Facetime, and I loved chatting with her! She called me often throughout the week ;)
She loves Gees pancakes, so they  made those for breakfast!
Gretchen has been asking to learn how to sew, so they decided to make a quilt while Gretchen was there.
She set to work cutting all the squares.
And then Gee taught her how to sew them together.
On Monday afternoon, Gee and Gretchen ran in to town to meet Nana for lunch! Nana was driving through and on her way to our house.
For dinner, Gee took Gretchen to The Purple Cow, and she had a purple milkshake.
On Tuesday, they went and picked blueberries.

And then came home to bake a cake.
They went swimming.
And snapped green beans.
And, they worked hard all week to finish the quilt!!!
Gee made Camp Gee shirts for each of the girls, and decided to take Amelia and Gretchen to see Incredibles 2.

Gretchen had the best time spending the week with her Gee and getting Gees undivided attention.

In a few weeks, Megan and Addy will have a turn, and I know they'll have just as much fun.
