The Weekend

Don't you just love long weekends?! We've actually had a very eventful weekend despite the fact that we had no football game to go to. Friday evening, Gretchen's big girl furniture was delivered, which I'll tell you all about later!

On Saturday, my husband was home. What a rare treat to have him home on a Saturday!! Well, he did go in for just a few hours, but still, it was nice to have him home most of the day! Gretchen and I went to a friends birthday party on Saturday and she had tons of fun playing with little friends! She also got to have her very first sucker! Well, at least, this is the first that I've allowed her to have. I wouldn't say that I'm against suckers, it's just not something that I feel that she needs to have, plus I don't enjoy the sticky mess!

I love that she sat still long enough though for me to take these pictures, and I enjoyed editing them later on that evening!

We grilled out Saturday evening, and watched football on t.v. And on Sunday, Gretchen and I went to church, while DJ worked, yet again.

Sunday evening we had a potluck at the football office for all of the coaches! It's a weekly event, that gives us time to get together and gives all of us time to spend with our husbands! I made a delicous nacho cheese dorrito casserole! I was going to post the recipe for Wednesday's "what's in" link up, but I realized I've already posted it! So, I'll have to post a new recipe for you guys!

I'll spare you with my festivities for today, Labor Day, because they weren't so festive! But, I'm at least sitting outside enjoying the sunshine, while Gretchen plays in the yard!
