Teaching Tots: Baby Chicks & Spring Lunch

I've been procrastinating with G's artwork & learning activities lately. I guess that happens when you're 8 months pregnant, working full time, and you're playing the role of single mom!

I was off work yesterday for Good Friday, so I decided that we would go ahead and do some fun things to celebrate spring and the Easter weekend. I let G choose her cookie cutter sandwich shape- she could choose from a chick, egg, bunny, or butterfly, and choose a butterfly. She helped me to cut two slices of bread into the butterfly shapes, and add pb & j.

That afternoon she colored this chick picture. I cut it out for her because she can only snip with scissors, but I let her glue the pieces together.

Sorry, it's sideways; but this was her finished product!

We're hoping to get a few more crafts in this weekend, so stay tuned for those!
