Welcome to Friday my friends. We have made it through another week!
As the end of the school year is quickly approaching, my weeks are getting crazy busy! I think this was the busiest I've been since the beginning of the school year! I had 6 IEP's this week! But, I should be close to getting them wrapped up and finished. And all the speech paths said, 'Amen'.
I didn't do a weekend wrap up post on Monday, instead, I linked up for a Favorite Things party! We talked all about accessories and I shared my favorite jewelry! You can check out the post here.
Our church recently erected this statue of John Wesley. The girls have loved seeing it over the past few Sundays and this past Sunday they asked to take a picture with it. I'm pretty sure this will be their FAVORITE new picture spot on Sundays!
After church, we took the girls home, fed them lunch, and then I had some solo Target time. Target is definitely a FAVORITE around here!
Once we got home, Addy Pearl played with her FAVORITE toy and her FAVORITE ballet baby.
Monday morning, Gretchen asked if she could fix her hair. She had this hairstyle idea in her head, and I helped her so it wasn't a complete hot mess.
This was definitely a #yesmom moment for me.
A few weeks ago, I ordered this bracelet from Accessory Lane. I contacted Amy, the shop owner, and she graciously offered 15% off your purchase using the code HONEYPIE15!!!!
Monday night, I dropped Gretchen off at dance, picked up Meggie from daycare and we ran some errands before picking Gretchen back up. It was fun having some 1:1 time with her!
This silly goose loves hanging out with DJ and I when we get ready in the mornings. She's almost always the first one up! Tuesday morning she was showing me her "princess smile."
Then she showed me her "monster smile!" Her silliness is definitely one of my FAVORITES!
I picked up this nail polish on Sunday, and I'm loving it! I don't paint my nails often, because I hate when they chip and I hate constantly repainting them, but this is the perfect shade of pink. It gives a little color, but it also feels neutral for this girl who prefers naked nails.
This week, I've gotten plenty of snuggles from one of my FAVORITE little girls!
One of Megan's FAVORITE ways to fall asleep is on the living room floor. She was so tired Tuesday night, and was saying that she didn't feel great, we found her asleep like this when we got up to go to bed.
I picked up these bathtub finger paint soaps at Target and the girls are loving "painting" in the tub.

Bath time is definitely their FAVORITE time!
Tuesday night, I did some sewing and finished up a few orders.
These monogrammed sun hats are y'alls favorite!!! I'll be finishing up the rest of these this weekend and getting them shipped out next week! If you still want to order, you can email me here.
We came home Wednesday night to gorgeous weather! The girls played outside until DJ came home from work. Adalyn pushed the scooter.
And tried really hard to ride on it!
I made Chicken Pot Pie- rather than using pie crust, I bought Pillsbury crescent bread; put the mixture inside, and folded it on top and baked it. It was so yummy!
The girls played outside with DJ while I cooked dinner. We have a one seater car, and we definitely need a two seater!
Later that evening we took the girls to the park to play and Adayn LOVED the swings! I think they'll be a FAVORITE of hers this summer!

After lots of playing, we took the girls for some ice cream!
Ice cream is always a FAVORITE! This was the first time that Adalyn ate her own dish with a spoon and didn't make a crazy mess! Usually it all melts before she finishes, or she uses her hands! She's getting to be such a big girl!
Getting back in the car was not a FAVORITE moment of Adalyn's! She's still rear facing, so when she doesn't want to sit, she'll put her feet up against the seat, lock her legs, and refuse to sit. It was the funniest thing watching DJ man-handle her to get her in her seat!
Thursday morning was an MJ day! I keep thinking that I'm going to re-sell this little strawberry top, but I love it! It's one of the first pieces that I bought brand new, but Adalyn's getting tall and the top is getting a little short! We had to get one last wear out of it!
I went to lunch with a co-worker on Thursday, and DJ texted me a picture of his cheesecake, and asked if I was jealous. I texted him back with a "no" and this picture. He replied with, "Well, that wasn't fun!" Hubby was trying to rub it in my face that he was out to eat, but so was I!
Gretchen and I stopped by Panera because I needed to buy a gift card so we got her a gigantic candy cookie to eat. She asked if we could eat outside and I obliged, so I could get some one on one time with my FAVORITE big girl!
This week has been crazy busy! We've had lots of late nights but lots of fun this week!
Our weekend (and the next three) our going to be jam packed as well!
I hope you'll stick around for the fun!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun week! I'm a sucker for eating outside too :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family!
ReplyDeleteI love those trips to Target, too!
I'm so glad you stopped by my blog, or I never would have been able to see yours! Your shop is so sweet and your girls could not be more adorable. After this week, I think I'm in need of some solo Target time too!
ReplyDeleteI love that Essie color!! I almost bought that exact same one on Thursday. You have to try Gealous Nail Gel as a base coat - a friend recommended it to keep the polish to stay on longer (almost like a no-chip manicure hack)! Have a great weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you enjoyed a beautiful & eventful week! :) I love that you helped your daughter create the hairstyle she came up with (as I mama of two girls, I've done that before too and love the creativity behind these unique looks! ;)) Your chicken pot pie wrapped in crescent rolls looks delicious! Great idea ;) That shade of essie is pink perfection!! So fun that you enjoyed a lit'l time alone with your favorite big girl and her big cookie! :) Have a great weekend!! xo - Brenda // Chatting Over Chocolate
