4 Things

Now that summer is ending next week, I thought that I would share 4 things about each of the girls and their summer. I haven't done one of these posts in a while, but they're fun to look back on and see where the girls were at this time of their lives. 

 1. This summer, Gretchen was mostly found with a book in her hand. She absolutely loves to read and will read each night before she goes to bed. When we're in the car, she has a book or several with her. 

2. Gretchen has been sleeping on her floor for the last several weeks. We started a chore list a few weeks ago and now that she has to make her bed every day, she's decided to just sleep on the floor. 

3. She enjoys baking and has been begging me to teach her how to sew. 

4. She is so excited for school to start back! She's been asking since mid-July when she finally gets to go back! 

1. Megan can be found most days pestering her big sister. She wants to do everything that Gretchen does. 

2. She's swimming like a fish. We didn't do swim lessons this year, but she's jumping in and swimming like a pro. 

3. Megan is super excited about kindergarten. She knows about 20 sight words already and her cafeteria number. We've been working on them all summer!

4. Megan finally got her ears pierced. She debated all summer and finally was brave enough to pierce them when we were in Branson. She had her American Girl doll's ears pierced while we were in Dallas, and now she's excited that they both have ears pierced! 

1. Most days, Addy can be found with her older sisters. She thinks she's just as big as they are, and wants to do everything they do. 

2. If she's not with her sisters, then she's following me around. She's my little side kick and loves to cuddle. (while she sucks her thumb.)

3. We told Adalyn that when she turned 3 she couldn't suck her thumb anymore, and well, that is not happening. I mean, I could probably do more to discourage it, but I know she'll stop eventually. 

4. She eats all of the time. She's constantly stealing snacks from the pantry, the counter, or the refrigerator. She loves to eat- cheese sticks, applesauce, or yogurt with sprinkles are her favorite. 

So, that's it 4 little things about each of the girls this summer.
