Life lately has been busy and fun! We are on our last few weeks of summer, so we're trying to soak in as much family as we can and finish up getting ready for back to school.
Last week, DJ and I had an impromptu lunch date. I had an event that I thought was on Thursday, and it turns out it was on Wednesday. So, since I had a babysitter, I took advantage of the situation, got my oil changed, did some window shopping, and met DJ for lunch.
He took me for a Brownie's Gourmet Burger, and it was delish! Bleu cheese and bacon on top of a burger is my jam.
Gretchen Rose had oreos for snack.... there's not much better than oreo cookies and licking off that icing in the middle.
And, who is on Snapchat? I mean, isn't this filter to die for? You can follow me on Snapchat @ElaineWelte, and PS: I'm loving it these days more than Instagram and Facebook, so I do a lot of sharing over there!
Practice starts on August 4th, and I'm all like, hey DJ- these are our last few days together! I'm trying to get really motivated for the season ahead! We have games against some great teams, and I'm looking forward to watching the games on t.v. and dragging the girls to all of the home games! Plus, our annual wives trip weekend!
Addy and I went to Target on Sunday evening after we got home from Branson. I told her to go get her shoes, and she picked out polk-a-dot rain boots, Hello Kitty sunglasses, and grabbed her ballet babies. Her Aunt Tiffany bought her a big one for her birthday and two more little ones!
I mean, what's harder than living life as a 3 year old?
Our family pictures came in last week, and I'm trying to figure out which ones will be printed, turned in to canvas prints, and more!
Monday night, Gretchen and I had a date night just the two of us! I don't remember the last time that we've been able to go and do something. Megan was at my mom's so DJ just had to stay home with Adalyn. Gretchen requested that we go see The BFG so that's what we did. We went to the 7:00 show and she had popcorn and Nerds and was shocked that I told her that was her dinner!
She brought her American Girl doll with us. I about died when she buckled the doll in to the car. Lea had her own seat in the movie too.
We're trying super hard to soak up the last few days of summer!
