Weekend Wrap Up

You guys, this weekend was just what we needed. DJ had an away game, and I decided that we would have our traditional pizza & movie Friday night, maybe take a trip to the zoo, and get out our fall decorations. Needless to say, not everything went as planned, but the weekend allowed me to reset and recharge.
After picking up the girls, we stopped to get pizza and then came home to watch Cinderella.
We were all cuddling on the couch, when I realized that Adalyn didn't look well. She felt very warm, so I took her temperature, and realized she was sick. I went ahead and gave her a bath, and then applied some essential oil to her. We ended up cuddling more, and then it was time for bed. Addy asked to sleep in my bed, and I obliged so I could keep an eye on her.
Megan had been playing school, and made name tags for all of her baby dolls. We sent this picture to her kindergarten teacher! It was hilarious watching Megan play school She was talking about the jobs that her kids have, making them line up, and saying "it's a side walk, not a side run!"
We slept in on Saturday, and I cuddled with Adalyn some more.
I spent the morning getting out our fall decorations, while Gretchen and Megan built with their legos.
Addy was in a great mood once her fever broke!
And since we had been stuck in the house all afternoon, we decided to head out for ice cream!

It was a little make up treat, since we couldn't get out and go to the zoo!
While the girls ate ice cream, I watched the TU game on my phone. I am so thankful for modern technology!
And then they played outside for a bit!

We made a quick stop at Marshalls and headed home to catch the end of the game in overtime!
After two overtimes, Tulsa brought home the W!!!!

Saturday night, I settled in to watch Miracles from Heaven.
I found myself crying just a few minutes in to the movie, but it was so good. It completely renewed my faith, and made me thankful for my healthy children.

Addy's fever did come back in the middle of the night. She woke up around 11, letting me know that I did not read her a book. (She fell asleep before I had the chance.) So, I oiled her up and then read her a book before we settled in to bed.

By the time DJ made it home, Megan was in my bed too, and he had to sleep in the girls room.

We all slept in Sunday morning and missed church.

Sunday, I worked on laundry, DJ mowed the grass, and then he took the girls to lunch while I went to the grocery store.
I made this body spray Sunday afternoon, and I'm anxious to try it out this week!
And Addy asked me to take her picture!

Gretchen and Megan spent most of the day playing with their legos, and in the afternoon, we settled in to watch Zootopia.

DJ was home all day since we have a bye-weekend this coming week! It was so nice having him home!

Right now, I feel reset and recharged for the week ahead! I'm looking forward to another low-key weekend before some busy weekends ahead of us!
