Let The Magic Begin....

Last Thursday, our family headed to Disney World!

DJ's mom planned a trip for our entire family to meet at Disney for a few days. We all live in different states, and some of us haven't been able to see each other for years.
Our flight left Tulsa around 8 am, which meant we had to be up and at the airport pretty early. The big girls were excited and ready to go, Adalyn..... was still a little tired!
She was better once we were on the plane. She chose the window seat,
I sat in the middle, and Gretchen sat beside me.

After a 3 hour lay over in St. Louis, we finally made it to Orlando!

DJ's mom arrived at the same time we did, so we decided to meet for lunch in the airport, and then she stayed behind to wait on his sister to arrive, while we went ahead and boarded the Disney Magical Express.

If you're traveling to Disney World and staying on property, the magical express is the easiest way to arrive. They'll send you luggage tags before your trip, and you simply tag your bags, and they'll arrive to your room after you check in! And then busses will take you to your resort, where you'll check in, and have time to explore or you can head to the park.
We took a quick sister photo while we were still in the airport.

Once we arrived at our resort, DJ checked in and we found out that our room was ready! I was relieved, because this meant we had a place to drop our carry ons and change before heading to the pool. (On our last Disney trip, we had to wait awhile before we could actually get in to our room.)
We stayed at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. I love the room slept all 5 of us comfortably, but there wasn't a ton of floor space once we had 5 suitcases in the room. (On our last trip, we stayed at Art of Animation in a family suite, and we had a ton of room! It was almost too much at the time.)

DJ's brother and his family had arrived earlier that day (they live just a few hours away in Florida) , so we met them at the pool!
The pool at Caribbean Beach was amazing! There was a play area for younger kids, and then a huge swimming pool with slides and a beach out area. There were a ton of people in the pool, but there was still plenty of room to swim around.
Addy became a little fish! She's refused to get in the lake this summer, and only plays in the shallow end of our neighborhood pool, but we swam all over here! We packed our swimsuit, sunscreen, and floaties in our carry on bags, so we would have it all when we arrived. You could skip the floaties or life jacket, because Disney had plenty of them pool side!
A pool selfie.
The pool had plenty of other activities for kids too. When we arrived, there was a "Name That Song" competition, and then the kids were able to make sand art for a small fee.

Gretchen and Katie both chose dolphins..... the girls are the same age, but haven't seen each other in years! They instantly became best friends and had the best time together on our trip!
Meggie made a dolphin too!
Later that afternoon, DJ headed back to the check in location, to pick up the stroller we rented.

Our double stroller has had it, so we decided to rent one while we were in Disney. We used  Kingdom Strollers to rent, and it was so easy! A few months before our trip, I set up an account, chose which stroller we wanted, and it was delivered to our resort. We returned it to the same location on our last day, and that was that! The stroller was clean, easy to use, and worked perfectly for Megan and Adalyn, and had a place for most of our belongings..... I would bring a stroller carabiner clip next time though!

We ended the night by having pizza, getting the girls in the tub, and settling in to our room. Remember how I told you that luggage arrives shortly after you do..... well, we arrived to the resort around 3, and while DJ's luggage made it quickly, the rest of our luggage didn't arrive until around 8:30 ish. So, it was a late night of trying to get everything settled.

DJ went with his brother, sister, and sister in law to Downtown Disney, but I decided to call it a night knowing that we would be up super early the next day!

I'll be recapping our Disney trip over the next few days and can't wait to share all of the magic and fun with you guys!

Convention Recap: Last One!

Today, I'm recapping my trip to Salt Lake City, and the Young Living Convention.

You can read part 1 here, and part 2 here
Friday morning we decided to hit the convention center as early as possible. We had classes lined up, but we really wanted to hit the Expo to explore new products, but mostly, we wanted to meet these guys.

The OOLA Guru and the OOLA Seeker.

I've been mentioning several times on the blog that I'm reading OOLA for Women, and how much I'm loving the book! We sat in their seminar on Thursday, and we had to meet them on Friday. Let me tell you, these guys know how to have fun and make everyone feel loved and special!

They had a fun photo booth set up, autographed books, and took time to talk to everyone!
We had about 3 seconds to throw on a prop and smile for the camera. The fastest thing I could grab was a Viking hat, and I swore I was not going to grab a hat! I just look like I have horns! Ha!

After grabbing my photo with the OOLA guys, I took 4 stickers and wrote out 4 goals, and then stuck them on their van.
I'm keeping my goals to myself, but I can't wait to watch them unfold.

Every single woman needs to read OOLA for Women. Like now. It's all about finding balance in an unbalanced world and focusing on the 4F's. Faith, Field, Finance, Family, Field, Fun, and Friends.

After meeting the OOLA guys, I went to some seminars, and then hit the Expo up to explore the newly released products.
Young Living is now carrying a men's 3 in 1 wash, an after sun spray, an insect repellent, and SUNSCREEN! I was crazy pumped about these new products and can't wait to share more about them with y'all!
At lunch, we met up with two gals that are involved with the business side of Young Living, and are in my downline! It was a pleasure getting to meet them and talk about this business, it's freedom, and opportunities! I just loved being able to hug them!
By the end of the day, Jill and I were beat! We had classes all day long, and we had a late night ahead of us with a general session.
Saturday morning, we were up early for the Color Run! Which ended up not being a color run, because Salt Lake City wouldn't allow the color to be sprayed downtown. I was thankful that I could run without having to dodge spraying color and I could come out somewhat clean on the other end!
We all lined up at the starting point and finished the 5K! And, I was under my anticipated time!

The rest of the day was spent in classes, and then........
We headed to the Carrie Underwood concert!
Young Living flew Carrie in for a private concert for all of the YL peeps!
It was a fabulous night!
Sunday morning, my roommates headed out early! So, my uncle and I met up and went to see the Tabernacle Choir perform. We walked around the gardens, viewed the church, and enjoyed the scenery.
And the music! If you're ever in SLC, I highly recommend this! We arrived at 8:30, when they did a run through of the show. Between 9 and 9:30 there were announcements and at 9:30 we were in the live recording of the show! You can watch the Tabernacle Choir on many t.v. stations, radio stations, and on You Tube! Last Sunday was a special service for Father's day, so we enjoyed the choir, orchestra, and the hand bell performers!
After the performance, my uncle dropped me back off at the condo, and since I wasn't flying out until later that afternoon, I decided to explore just a little bit. About 1/2 mile from the condo was an outdoor mall, so I decided to walk there. My girls would have loved this! It was a little oasis smack dab in downtown SLC. There was an outdoor splash pad, and fun lawn seating everywhere!
I also came across a ton of sidewalk chalk art and took several pictures to show the girls.
I finally headed to the airport and settled in to read while I waited on my plane.

OOLA shirt- check
OOLA book- check.
Bye, bye Salt Lake!!!!

I'll see you in September!
My plane did not land until 11 pm local time, and DJ and the girls picked me up! Oh, how much I missed these babies of mine! It was so good to have hugs as soon as I landed!

Thanks for letting me share my convention recap! I'll be taking a blogging break for at least a week, while I enjoy some time with my family and while we do some traveling!!!

Convention Continued.....

Yesterday,  I shared about my trip to Young Living's lavender farm in Utah and today, I'm sharing a few more fun parts of the convention I attended last week!
After arriving back from the farm, we rushed to freshen up for our opening session of the University of Utah football stadium! The four of us were ready to go!
We had great seats on opening night, and the stage was ready to go! I was in awe, of all of the stages, and video screens, and how they transformed the stadium.
We started with the National Anthem, and the CEO of our company, Mary Young, sang. I mean, if you're the CEO, you can totally do whatever you'd like!

Fun fact- the Utes stadium is where the opening ceremony of the Olympics was back when it was held in Utah!
And a good fly over in a football stadium, never gets old for this girl.
That night of convention, over 70 new products were announced! Young Living released a new diffuser, sunscreen, bug repellent, supplements, a baby line, and make up!!!! We were all going crazy over these new products!!!
Savvy Minerals is the new make up line, and so many people are already obsessed! Including Kristin Cavallari! You can read what she says about the products here

After opening session, we were beat! It was a late night, and we had an early morning, so we went right back to the condo and went to bed.
Wednesday morning, we attended a session from the founder of Young Living, and my heart was opened to the Young Living foundation and the work they are doing around the world. I'll share more about it later ;)

After the session, we went to Club Red and grabbed a Ningxia shot, Nitro, a Ningxia slushie, and some Nitro! Ningxia is a supplement with wolfberry and a high amount of antioxidants.
The rest of the day, I was in sessions with a few of my favorite people.

You guys, if you're in a multi level marketing business, you need her book
And then I attended a session from the OOLA Guys.  Their mission is to teach people how to leave a balanced life in an unbalanced world focusing on 7 key F's. Field, Fun, Fitness, Faith, Family, Friends, and Finance.

I've been reading OOLA for Women, and the book has just spoken to me in a way that a lot of others haven't. Modern day women, and mothers need this book.
One of the best parts of convention, is meeting people who have had an impact on your life. Jill has been one of them! And while this photo is so blurry, I had to include it! We've been friends for two years now, and I'm just so thankful to have this girl in my life.
Thursday night, we attended the Silver Soiree, where all of our hard work was rewarded!
It was a fun night of dressing up and socializing.
Royal Crown Diamond.... I'm coming for you.
At the soiree, we had the pleasure of meeting some fabulous individuals on our team! I've been doing life with these ladies online and just being able to meet them and hug them blew me away. They're gorgeous inside and out.
Cheers! After the soiree, we did what anyone would do.

We headed out for drinks, queso, and Mexican food!
Sorry, my plate was sideways! I was honestly just too tired to go and try to change it around!

So, that's a little bit of fun from my Salt Lake City trip.... I have a few more things to share, and then our family is off to Disney World!!!

Young Living Lavender Farm

Last Tuesday, I jet setted off by myself to attend the Young Living Convention in Salt Lake City.
In the airport, all set with my books, phone, water, and Evy's Tree wrap. I almost always travel with this wrap, because it's light weight, but also makes a perfect blanket for the girls, or I can put it on if I'm cold.

Once my flight landed, my uncle, cousin, and friend, Jill picked me up from the airport. I got in late, so we settled in the condo, and went to bed!

Wednesday morning, we were up early for the drive to Mona Utah, where one of Young Living's farm is.
First of all, Utah is gorgeous! I've never been to Utah, but the mountains were breath taking. Salt Lake City reminded me a lot of Boulder, Colorado.

Here's a fun fact, about all of Young Living's farms- they're completely open to the public! Anyone and everyone can visit their farms!
We had to wait in line to get in, but thankfully the line moved quickly. As a bonus, we enjoyed the mountain view!
We visited the stable and horses first. I took lots of pictures of the horses for Adalyn. She is obsessed with horses!
After seeing the horses, we opted for a Ningxia Red smoothie, which was more of a drink because the machines weren't meeting the demand of people wanting the drink! So, they weren't quite frozen. But, they were just as tasty!
I mean, this view.
We had to wait a sweet forever before being able to see the distillery, but once we got close, we could see all of the juniper that was being distilled that day. There was just a mountain of juniper! It smelled so good!
This distillery is pretty small, but we were able to see the heat tanks up close.
And when that sign says HOT, it's correct! You could feel the heat just standing next to them.
Mountains and Juniper... yes, please!
At the distillery, we met Dr. Cole Wolley.  I didn't recognize him, even though I follow him on Facebook, and I totally embarrassed myself by saying, "What do you do?" I just thought that he might be a manager of the farm. Nope, he's an essential oil educator and independent researcher.

Later in the week, I went to one of his seminars and learned a bit about the chemistry of essential oils. I can now successful say sesquiterpenes.
After the distillery, we planted baby lavender.
There was a huge fan of goldenrod! Ladies, your man needs this! Ha!
We toured all of the fields, and then we headed to the field where they were planting Lavender.
See my little lavender plant.
I was able to put it in the ground, and get my hands dirty a bit!
After planting lavender, we enjoyed the gardens for a little bit.
The day went by so fast! It was seriously breathtaking, and I absolutely love that Young Living owns their farms, allows other to visit, they use no chemicals, weed fields by hand, and distill and bottles the essential oils themselves. For more on that visit the Seed to Seal website

I'll be back in September visiting the farm, and I can't wait to see everything again!
