We've had a busy May! Gretchen had her musical theater recital a few weeks ago, and since we took pictures on our "real" camera, I totally forgot to blog about it!
She decided to take a musical theater/production class this year rather than dance lessons. This class focuses on improv, acting, music, and a little dance mixed in.
And she absolutely LOVED taking the class!
Her class performed 3 songs from Peter Pan and there was some acting mixed in. Gretchen had a few lines, and she was a star on stage! She has practiced and practiced and sang and sang over the last several months!
She's taking a production camp later this summer and has requested to take musical theater again in the fall!
In the finale, all of the actors/actresses come back on stage. I'm not sure if you can see her, but Gretchen is wearing the black with white polk a dot shorts.
We brought her a bouquet for her performance.
And attempted a few photos outside, but it was bright and sunny!
She's a daddy's girl!
And only one sister wanted to have her picture made with Gretchen.
But, they both wanted their picture made with Megan's friend, Hailey, who performed in The Lion King.
Gretchen's made some great little friends at her class this year!
And, here's a video of her production. She is one of the first with a speaking line.

And last week, Adalyn had her preschool program!
We had missed her Christmas program because of our bowl trip, so we were excited to see her on stage!
Addy's class has been practicing a ton, and she's been singing a few of the songs at home.
She may have her sister's acting abilities!
Their class sang a few songs with the 4 year old class, and then sang three songs by themselves, and then sat down while the 4 year old class "graduated."
After the songs, they allow the parents to come closer to take photos.
And, some silly photos too!
Adalyn has blossomed so much in preschool this year! We've finished 6 years with having one of the girls attend this particular preschool, and next year, they'll all be in public school. (Adalyn will be attending a public preschool near my elementary school.) She's had the best teachers and made wonderful little friends.
But most importantly, she's learned to love Jesus.
We are so thankful for teachers that have loved our girls!
Addy was proud to have her preschool certificate!
And we are so proud of her!
