So, I kind of fell off from blog land this week. We are down to one week left of summer, and I've been trying to do #allthethings this week to get in a place where I'm ready to head back to working full time. I'm purging, organizing, cleaning the closets, and just trying to complete all of the items I haven't checked off my mental to-do list.
I'm linking up today with a few of my favorite bloggers for Friday Favorites, and sharing a little peek at my favorite moments from the past week!
These sister-cousins are my favorite. They're 6 weeks apart, and they love being together.
Last Friday, I met my mom at our half way point and Megan headed home to Gee's house to spend a few days.
We've coined these little trips Camp Gee, and the girls have the best time. Gee let's them plan their time with her, and they pretty much get whatever they want.
While, Megan was at Camp Gee, we were hanging out at home. Adalyn is looking super big lately, and I cannot believe that she is 4 and starting pre-k this year. She's becoming more and more independent.
Snapchat filters are always a favorite! My oily team and I have declared that we have to have our "hustle hair" on on the last day of the month, and we share fun selfies with our hustle hair. This was mine. As a bonus, snapchat filters are perfect for hiding the fact, that I had no make up on!
Monday afternoon we pooled. Earlier this summer, Young Living came out with a Mineral Sunscreen, and it's obviously our favorite, and I'll be stocking up on more soon! But, a little bit of this goes a long way!
On Tuesday, we headed back toward Arkansas and my mom and I traded out girls. I took Megan back, and she took Adalyn.
These cousins, sure are a favorite! While we were eating lunch, someone came up and told me that her mother was one of four children, and I know she thought all four girls were mine! I didn't correct her :) and then our waitress asked if Megan and Amelia were twins, and I told her no, that they were 6 weeks apart, and she just looked at me wondering how that happened. And then I informed her they were cousins! Ha!
Later that night, Gee sent me this picture of Adalyn and it cracked DJ and myself up! She had two cherry tomatoes stuck in her cheeks!
Since Adalyn was away, I knew it was the perfect time to get my hair cut.... because managing two kids at a salon, is much easier than managing three. I chopped about three inches off, and I'm loving the new hair.
We came home, and Gretchen and I made Andrea's monster cookies.
Since DJ's students are back and football practice is in full swing, we thought we'd treat his students to some cookies. Gretchen wasn't a huge fan of the oatmeal, but I thought the cookies were pretty tasty! We omitted the raisins because DJ's students had told me that they were not huge raisins fans when I asked. (neither am I!)
While Gretchen and I were baking, Megan had a friend over to play. They had the best time splashing in the backyard, and then playing. I looked out the window and they were swinging so high!
While we were baking at home, Addy Pearl was baking at Camp Gee's. Adalyn had said she wanted to bake "too-ties" (cookies), go swimming, go to the park, and NOT take a bath while she was away, and she was able to do all of those things, plus eat snow cones! Well, she DID have to have a bath! Bless her heart!
On Thursday, we headed back and met my parents to pick up Adalyn, and our summer travels are finally over!
We have one week home before school starts back and I'm planning on making the most of it!
We love Monster Cookies and leave out the raisins, too. But I add walnuts and they are delish!
