Hey, Hey Monday!!!
We're rest and recovered from the weekend, and looking forward to the week ahead.
This weekend was cold and it made me want to stay indoors and cuddle under a blanket. Alas, we had plans Saturday so I only got to do a little bit of that.
Gretchen and I have been chatting and we want to bring back our Kids Book Club! She picked out a few of her favorite books and started blogging about them last week, so be on the lookout for that coming back soon!
Megan had gymnastics last week and she received her show team leotard. She's so excited for show team and is loving gymnastics. Her class likes to have a little fun, and she came home and showed us her "flamingo" pose.
Friday is my "stay home" day where DJ is at work, the kids are at school, and I have the day off to run errands, or catch up around the house. Since we had been out of town we were majorly behind on house cleaning and laundry, so I took the day to clean, re-arrange furniture, and set out my Easter decorations.
I also threw this blend of oils in to the diffuser...... Lavender, Geranium, and Orange.
When the mail came on Friday, I surprised Gretchen with her very own diffuser for her bedroom! We have a diffuser in the kitchen, our bedroom, Megan's room, Adalyn's room, and we were only missing one in Gretchen's room..... Young Living had a sale, so I went ahead and ordered a diffuser for Gretchen's room! She was so excited and immediately put it up in her bedroom and has been diffusing a few of her favorite oils!
Saturday morning, DJ had football practice, and the girls and I headed to a friend's birthday party. They had these super fun jewel stickers for all the kids!
It's like that Snapchat filter came to life!
After the party, Gretchen went to her acting class, and I took the little girls to a little fair that had a petting zoo. They got to hold bunnies, pet a hedgehog, a turtle, a bearded dragon, and little baby chicks.
I'm not going to lie.... I really wanted to jump in there and cuddle all the animals.
When we got home, the girls played "princess" and we ended the night watching Instant Family..... which was really good, but it's PG-13, so there was a lot of language. And honestly, it could've been left out and still been a great movie!
I wanted to share this quick lunch tip with y'all in case you're a busy mom like me!
I ran to the grocery store this weekend and came home and washed and chopped all of our fruits and veggies. Then, I immediately pulled out my little containers that we use for the girls lunches and filled them full!
The ones above have blueberries, strawberries, and cutie slices.
And these have carrots, tomatoes, and baby cucumbers.
Then, when I'm fixing lunches this week, I just have to pull out these containers and throw them in their lunches! I love that if I have everything already done, lunches are super easy to fix, because it's just a grab and go!
Sunday afternoon we took the girls to see Dumbo. It was super cute, and I would say better than the original..... although, I don't think I've seen the original since I was a child, but I remember always thinking it was a little strange. But, we all loved this version!!!
We hope y'all had a great weekend too!!!
Later this week, I'll be sharing a few Costco finds; I hope you'll come back and visit :)
