We have a new pet!!!
Meet Hermione, or, Hermie for short.
When Mail a Goldfish contacted me on Instagram asking if they could overnight us a fish, it was a resounding yes!
They were wonderful to work with. I let them know that we were going out of town on our camping trip and asked if they could wait a week, and they were more than willing.
Our goldfish arrived last Wednesday and once the girls saw the box, they were itching to open it!
Unfortunately, Megan was at gymnastics, and then Gretchen was at church so we didn't open it until 9 pm.
Every thing you need to take care of your goldfish comes in your kit. It's wrapped in an insulated bag so the fish stays somewhat temperature controlled.
We cut open the bag, and found our goldfish tank, a little plant, rocks, water conditioner, food, and our goldfish.
The goldfish is protected in a bag and cardboard tube.
The girls were so excited!
Your kit comes with directions so you can completely set up your fishbowl.
First, you'll wash the rocks.
Then, add the rocks, the plant, and fill the fish tank with water. (We used filtered water from our Berkey.)
We added the water conditioner drops, and set the goldfish bag in the water for about 30 minutes so the temperature would adjust.
After 30 minutes, we cut open the bag, and poured Hermie into her new home.
The girls are so excited! Adalyn feeds her every night and several times a day, I find the girls over at the fish bowl watching Hermie swim around.
We've had her since Wednesday, and she's still alive and well!
Mail a Goldfish would be the funnest gift for anyone of any age!
Thank you Mail a Goldfish for gifting us a new family pet!
