Megan's Gymanstic's Meets 1 & 2

Gymnastics is underway, and Megan is having so much fun. She's competing Level 4 achievement this year, which means she'll likely repeat the level next year. But, our girl is also considering giving cheerleading a try now that she's in middle school. So, this season is somewhat bitter sweet for us.
Megan's first meet was in Boerne which is about 2 hours away. We left Friday night after her practice, and had a gorgeous sunset on the way down. The girls reached for my phone in order to snap a picture.
We arrived around 9 pm, changed in to pj's, and snuggled in to bed.
Our wake up call was early on Saturday. Megan had to be at the meet around 7:45, and I had to fix her hair. Gymnastic's hair has been a battle for us. If the bun is too high, then she can't do one of her back rolls, but it also can't be in a ponytail and touch her face or she gets a deduction. This year we opted to try two french braids going in to buns. Lots of gorilla glue and her hair held!
Adalyn begged to go to the meet and watch her sister. I was going to make her stay home, but she really wanted to tag along!
Adalyn ran over during the meet and snagged this pic of Megan while she was waiting to vault.
Getting her achievement medal.
Proud little sister!
All the level 4 girls from her gym. Some are competing placement and some will repeat with Megan. These girls have become great friends!
Last weekend, Megan competed at Moxie gymnastics for er 2nd meet of the season. We had her spend the night with a teammate, and we met them after the football game at the meet. We literally walked in right as they were announcing each team! Pictured above is her getting ready to vault. Vault is definitely one of her more difficult events, but her score improved since her first meet!
Look at her way down there!
All of the achievement girls from her gym.
And Nana came to see too!

She has this weekend off, and then two more meets before her regional meet, and then we'll see where life takes her from there!
