We kicked off the 2022 football season with a home opener against ULM this past weekend. I told DJ that football season already feels like it's been forever long, but it's just started! Gah. I'm sure it will be a long season, but we are looking forward to it. There's something about the girls being older and I feel like we're at a place where I can finally watch the game and they can do their thing. I think it'll be a great season.
We bought 5 tickets this year rather than our 4, so the girls could bring a friend or our family could come. Last year, DJ's aunt moved from Illinois to the Austin area and she was able to attend her firrst UT game with us!
We got their early, met up with DJ in his office, and snuck a few pics pre-game.
Love this guy. He puts in lots of long hours and works so hard. We are definitely proud of him!
I had to get a good famly pic, becuase we have a few events that might interfere with all 5 of us being at a game together, and then Adalyn ruined every single one. Sigh.
We moved our tickets this year off the 50 yard line and over to the corner of the field. This way, t's a little quieter (minus the cannon) and we are closer to DJ's office.
Bevo is always a favorite!
She was excited to cheer on the team! She also enjoyed playing "Hot or Not" when the players pictures flashed on to the video board.
The cannon was super loud- Whoops!
We are super close to the cheerleaders so that was really fun for the girls to watch! Each quarter, the cheerleaders trade spaces, so we were able to see the co-ed team, the all girls team, and the pom squad.
Selfies just make the game by faster.
She said "let's recreate my first picture from UT"... and I'm not so sure it was her first picture but she definitely has another pic like this somewhere.

Megan was the only one who made it outside with us the entire game. I think being so close to the cheerleaders definitely helped!
This is always a favorite moment for me.
A quick pic with dad before he had to run in to the office to start editing game film.
And a quick post win selfie.
Of course the girls had to see Hook 'Em. Lots of football kiddos here!
And we had to get a post game Bevo picture.
The first game was a great win. The game started at 7, so I knew it would be a late night for us, but these gilrs were troopers! They were still smiling at midnight for one more picture, before we headed home and crashed!
We are looking forward seeing Alabama this weekend at DKR!
