It's Friday!!! The girls and I don't have anything planned this weekend except for cleaning and sewing. DJ has recruiting tonight and tomorrow, but i'm pretty sure this weekend will be fabulous! It's the first weekend in January that we have had zero plans!
Over the last year, I have fallen in love with Matilda Jane clothing! I started buying it from my high school BFF's consignment store in Jonesboro, when we would go back to visit family. Last August, I purchased my first piece from a collection, and I've since stalked the buy, sell, trade groups on Facebook in order to add more to our collection. My favorite group is MJ Addicts; and you can request to join here.
MJ's newest collection releases on February 1st, so I thought I'd share my FAVORITE pieces that my girls already own.
The Fruit Punch dress is from the Serendipity- Spring 2012 collection. It's a size 6, and we've owned it for about a year and a half. It's one of my favorite pieces for Gretchen to wear in the summer. It's lightweight, and the fabric is really soft.
We add a long sleeve ruffle tee underneath the Fruit Punch dress, and it's perfect for school!
I'm pretty sure, Gretchen will get another year out of this dress.
These Kazoo shorties are one of my favorites for Gretchen to wear to soft. They're easy to wear, and thanks to all of the colors, she can wear them with almost anything! In October, we paired her shorties with a long sleeve tee, but she also wore them with her school t-shirt for her walk-a-thon.
The Kazoo shorties were released from "It's A Wonderful Parade" in Spring 2014.
She also has the Bliss shorties from the same collection.
One of my FAVORITE pieces for Gretchen are the Stone Cliff Ruffles, but she prefers dresses over pants. Thankfully, I can still convince her to wear them every once in a while!
These dresses were the ones that officially put me over the MJ crazy ledge! I purchased Gretchen's dress during the release last August, and then I stalked the boards in order to find sister sets. This is the Funnel Cake No-Knot dress. There are so many vibrant colors, that it matches everything! The apron on the front of the dress is removable, which just makes me fall in love with it more! Gretchen prefers to wear the dress without the apron, but the little girls don't mind.
I also purchased this top last August, and it's so versatile for all seasons! Adalyn is wearing the Love Bug Knot Top (Spring 2014) paired with the Macie Chevron Puffer tee.
This is a horrible picture, because, fussy baby, but we paired Addy's fur vest with the Sky View Puffer tee.
Here's the Macie Chevron Puffer with her fur vest, and she was wearing the Macie Chevron Puffer under her Funnel Cake Knot dress in the picture above.
See how their clothes are so versatile!!!!
Adalyn also has the Perry Inn Knot dress, which is just now starting to fit her. I bought it too big for her because I loved it so much, so I know we'll get lots of wear from it!
Sadly, Megan is not my dress girl, (except for "church and when she gets her picture taken"), but we love MJ tops and tanks for her! The one above is the Smoothy tank.
She has the Mellow tee (shown in her dress picture above), Sweet Violet Ruffles (that are so fun for daycare!). Megan also has the Soul tank, which I think describes her personality perfectly!
I recently purchased the Blue Bonnet Pearl for Gretchen's birthday, and the Luna dress for Adalyn.
I have a huge wish list too:
The Barn Party Knot
We also have the Holly Molly Skirt in a size 4 if anyone is looking for it!
I confessed my love for the Matilda Jane Finn pants in this post. These are my FAVORITE pants hands down. They're perfect for work and weekend wear! They are totally dress yoga pants, and everyone needs a pair in their closet!
Obviously, my love of Matilda Jane is slightly absurd! I may have spent an entire hour browsing the Lookbooks in order to accurately name all of these pieces!
And, now for my FAVORTE announcement of all......
