Weekend Wrap-Up

Now that summer is here, our weeks and our weekends all blur together! This weekend wrap up actually starts from last Wednedsay and goes through Sunday night; we've all been home, so we had an extra long weekend and it was fabulous!
I had a hair cut appointment Wednesday morning and scored some kid free time! Once I got home, we quickly packed a picnic lunch and headed to the pool.
The girls chowed down on pb & j, chips, and pudding or yogurt.

I had a great time hanging with my girlies! After we had been at the pool for about two hours, DJ took Megan and Adalyn home so Addy could have her nap. That meant, that Gretchen and I got another hour of pool time and some much needed mommy-daughter time!
After dinner, we loaded the girls up and headed to Lowe's for some grass seed and top soil.

After our Lowe's trip, we went to Marble Slab for ice cream.
We made Andrea's meatball sub sandwiches Thursday night. Next time, i'll add some pepperoni and bell pepper!

I wanted to take the girls back to the pool on Friday, but our pool ended up being closed, so we made a change of plans and headed to the splash pad instead.
The little girls preferred eating snacks and sitting on the bench rather than playing in the water.
We had a friend come with us, and I'm so thankful because it was hard to keep up with the girlies! This particular splash pad is right by a huge park, and they all connect, and the little girls wanted to play, and then they all ended up running in different directions! I was exhausted by the time we got home!
We spent Friday afternoon, putting together our new kids table from Ikea.  Well, DJ spent the afternoon putting the kids table together!
After nap time, Addy was up for a few selfies!
Friday night, was family movie night and we watched Teen Beach Movie 2. (We've subsequently watched it a dozen times since Friday night too!)
Saturday morning, this little box of happiness arrived!

I couldn't dig into my oils too much because we were off on a family adventure!
DJ found a park a few hours away that had a waterfall and wanted to take the girls. We packed a picnic lunch and headed out. Once we arrived at the park, we ate and explored the gardens.
Meggie loved the coy pond.
And all the girls took turns "climbing" a tree.

After we climbed the tree, we set off on the hike to the waterfall.
From the top.....
And then we hiked down to the bottom of the falls.
The water was crazy clear! I wanted to jump right in!
As we were hiking, a butterfly landed on Gretchen! She was so excited and wanted to bring it home! Sadly, the butterfly flew away and she couldn't keep it.
After our hike, we let the girls play at the playground. They had so much fun on the tire swings, tunnels, and slides!
And once we got home, I immediately broke out my oils:
Megan was pretty mesmerized! A little peace and calming 2 diffusing for the best afternoon!
Sunday morning rolled around, and Adalyn decided she needed all the babies when she woke up.
And after church, the girls had to get a picture on the bench.

We had a pretty lazy Sunday afternoon. After dinner, I got the girls dressed and ready for a carnival type event at a local pharmacy.
Every year, a huge church in Broken Arrow, puts on a festival and fire works display. We've never been because the fire works don't start until really late, and it's always hot, and most usually, we are out of town. Thankfully, a pharmacy that our friend's friend owns, puts on his own little festival, and then we could all set up and watch the fireworks from there.
The girls ate snow cones and bounced in bounce houses.
Red snow cones are the best!
These girls are sweet friends!

The fireworks didn't start until 10, so it was a LATE night! Thankfully, the girls slept late Monday morning and we were able to get our week off to a right start!

I hope you ladies had a lovely weekend! Sorry, ours was so long- ha!

Favorite Things: Shoes

On the last Monday of each month, I link up with Erika and Andrea for a Favorite Things Party! Today, we're talking my love language... shoes!
Back in the day, before three girlies, I would buy shoes all the time! Now, I just make sure to take care of my shoes and I buy quality shoes so they'll last! I do try to pick up a new pair every season, but not the three or four pair that I used to pick up before I had kids!

Today, I'm sharing my favorite picks in my favorite styles!

First up, sandals. Every mom needs a good pair of cute, flat sandals, for days at the park, chasing kids, or just running errands.

I love a good sandal. My favorite pic, is probably the Steve Madden pair. I absolutely love the cognac color because they'll go with anything! Sam Edelman's are a must have because I know they'll last me for more than one summer, and I thought the beading on the Jessica Simpson shoes were fun and dressy!

When it came to Wedges, I had a more difficult time narrowing down my favorites! I love a good wedge shoe! Wedges are perfect to wear with shorts because they elongate your legs, but they're also great to wear to work with dressy slacks that might be a bit long!

I love all of these. Seriously, I could not pick out a favorite pair! Don't even make me try!

Next up, the perfect pair of tennis shoes. I've been running for the last several weeks, and I think I'm definitely going to be able to stick it out this time around (I've ran about 30 miles in the month of June- woohoo!) And, I running shoes are definitely on my list! Now, I'm a Nike girl, but some of these are just too cute not to share!

I hope you've enjoyed shoe shopping today- ha! I can't wait to read everyone else's favorite shoes!

Have a great Monday friends!

Friday Favorites: A Re-Cap Edition

It's Friday and I'm linking up with Andrea, Narci, and Erika for Friday Favorites! If you're new here, I'm so glad you stopped by today- I hope you'll join in and stick around because great things are happening here!

We've had a lot going on the past few weeks! We have finally moved in to our new house and we are settled. Pictures are on the wall, furniture is arranged, and boxes are unpacked. I'm so thankful that our move is over and we can get on with the rest of our summer!

The week after we moved in, Gretchen had basketball camp, so I was able to spend lots of time with my littles.
These girls and I headed out for some birthday party shopping. Party planning is one of my favorite things to do. If I could figure out how to make it my job, I totally would!

After party shopping, we met DJ for lunch at a local diner and then we headed to the TU bookstore for some Father's day shopping.
Reggie insisted on taking a picture with the mannequin. All of them. And Adalyn's favorite thing to do is to take her shoes off in the car, which is why she's barefoot.
Once we got home, this girl was worn out!
She was still snuggly later that night!
The next day, we had to move a few things from our old house to our new one, so we stopped at Raising Cane for lunch.
DJ and Addy at Cane's.
This has been my go-to outfit this summer. Seriously, while we were moving I was in tees and shorts every day and my favorite shoes
The next day, we had a pj day and the girls played and played while DJ was a work, and their big sister was at camp.
PJs, blocks, and babies are our favorite things!
Last Friday, we took the big girls and chopped their hair! Their new short is hair is super cute and fun~ Perfect for summer! Later that night, the big girls had a sleepover at a friends house. It was Megan's very first sleepover, and I'm thankful her big sister was there with her! She did great and stayed all night!
Since the big girls were away, we had some one on one time with Addy.
Saturday morning, I took Addy on my morning run (in her pj's) and we stopped by the park to play for a bit.

Saturday night, we celebrated Megan's 4th birthday. I posted decoration pics yesterday, and next week, I'll post all of the party pics.
Sunday morning, I put the girls in matching outfits and we all headed off to church. Matching these little girls is one of my favorite things to do! And taking their picture at the John Wesley statue is one of their Sunday favorites!

We had a low key Father's day celebrating DJ. We bought him a hat and I'm getting a football photo framed for his office. After church, his dad and step mom arrived to spend the day with us. We played games while Adalyn napped and then we went to the pool before DJ grilled steaks for dinner!
Monday morning I made pancakes for breakfast.

Once DJ's parents left, we had a lazy day! It was our first chance to really not do anything and it was fantastic!
We snuggled and watched t.v.
Megan already had Doc and Lambie, but at her birthday party, she received the rest of the Doc McStuffins gang and has been snuggling with them each night. Doc is her favorite!
I recently bought this shirt from Sashy Pants, and it's definitely a new favorite!
Tuesday morning, the girls and I headed off to the library for story time, and they got to play in water buckets after story time was over! They also finished their summer reading program and got their prizes.
The girls did some arts and crafts while I made dinner.
And Addy and I snuggled a bit more!

We've definitely had a great week! I hope you have too!
