Weekend Wrap-Up

Now that summer is here, our weeks and our weekends all blur together! This weekend wrap up actually starts from last Wednedsay and goes through Sunday night; we've all been home, so we had an extra long weekend and it was fabulous!
I had a hair cut appointment Wednesday morning and scored some kid free time! Once I got home, we quickly packed a picnic lunch and headed to the pool.
The girls chowed down on pb & j, chips, and pudding or yogurt.

I had a great time hanging with my girlies! After we had been at the pool for about two hours, DJ took Megan and Adalyn home so Addy could have her nap. That meant, that Gretchen and I got another hour of pool time and some much needed mommy-daughter time!
After dinner, we loaded the girls up and headed to Lowe's for some grass seed and top soil.

After our Lowe's trip, we went to Marble Slab for ice cream.
We made Andrea's meatball sub sandwiches Thursday night. Next time, i'll add some pepperoni and bell pepper!

I wanted to take the girls back to the pool on Friday, but our pool ended up being closed, so we made a change of plans and headed to the splash pad instead.
The little girls preferred eating snacks and sitting on the bench rather than playing in the water.
We had a friend come with us, and I'm so thankful because it was hard to keep up with the girlies! This particular splash pad is right by a huge park, and they all connect, and the little girls wanted to play, and then they all ended up running in different directions! I was exhausted by the time we got home!
We spent Friday afternoon, putting together our new kids table from Ikea.  Well, DJ spent the afternoon putting the kids table together!
After nap time, Addy was up for a few selfies!
Friday night, was family movie night and we watched Teen Beach Movie 2. (We've subsequently watched it a dozen times since Friday night too!)
Saturday morning, this little box of happiness arrived!

I couldn't dig into my oils too much because we were off on a family adventure!
DJ found a park a few hours away that had a waterfall and wanted to take the girls. We packed a picnic lunch and headed out. Once we arrived at the park, we ate and explored the gardens.
Meggie loved the coy pond.
And all the girls took turns "climbing" a tree.

After we climbed the tree, we set off on the hike to the waterfall.
From the top.....
And then we hiked down to the bottom of the falls.
The water was crazy clear! I wanted to jump right in!
As we were hiking, a butterfly landed on Gretchen! She was so excited and wanted to bring it home! Sadly, the butterfly flew away and she couldn't keep it.
After our hike, we let the girls play at the playground. They had so much fun on the tire swings, tunnels, and slides!
And once we got home, I immediately broke out my oils:
Megan was pretty mesmerized! A little peace and calming 2 diffusing for the best afternoon!
Sunday morning rolled around, and Adalyn decided she needed all the babies when she woke up.
And after church, the girls had to get a picture on the bench.

We had a pretty lazy Sunday afternoon. After dinner, I got the girls dressed and ready for a carnival type event at a local pharmacy.
Every year, a huge church in Broken Arrow, puts on a festival and fire works display. We've never been because the fire works don't start until really late, and it's always hot, and most usually, we are out of town. Thankfully, a pharmacy that our friend's friend owns, puts on his own little festival, and then we could all set up and watch the fireworks from there.
The girls ate snow cones and bounced in bounce houses.
Red snow cones are the best!
These girls are sweet friends!

The fireworks didn't start until 10, so it was a LATE night! Thankfully, the girls slept late Monday morning and we were able to get our week off to a right start!

I hope you ladies had a lovely weekend! Sorry, ours was so long- ha!

    1. It really wasn't that bad! We were in and settled within two weeks; there are still some small things to do, but for the most part, we're settled! Hope yours is going well!!!
