Summer Camps!

This year, Gretchen was signed up for two summer camps. We decided to do her camps at the beginning of summer, since we were already in a routine from school days, but also because DJ is still working and is crazy busy with high school football camps. We tend to travel in the middle of the summer, so we wanted camps over and done, so the rest of our summer could be spent traveling!
Gretchen's first camp was "Annie" at her dance studio. They hosted a mini-theatre camp every morning for a week. Gretchen went through rotations of acting, singing, and dancing each day, and then came home and practiced, practiced, and practiced some more! She was given an "Annie" soundtrack cd, and it was on repeat throughout the entire week! By the end of the week, all the girls were dancing and singing to "Tomorrow".
On Friday evening, the camp hosted a performance at a local auditorium. Gretchen had a little speaking part and then sang a verse of a song in a trio.

I was so proud of my little star! She totally loved theatre camp!
At the end, all of the camp came together and sang a song from Annie.
Gretchen's friend went to camp with her. These girls had a ball!
Megan and Talon, the little siblings...... they were great supporters of their big sisters!
We passed the time by taking pictures of Adalyn!

The week after theatre camp, Gretchen spent four days at TU Women's basketball camp. The camp was a long four days! DJ took her every day and she was there from 9 until 4! Gretchen went last year, but was technically a year early, but the let her participate anyway. This year, she was right on for age, and had fun learning some basketball skills.
DJ went over and snapped some pics of her during camp.
They had crazy sock day on Tuesday, and she was voted camper with the craziest socks!
Wednesday was crazy hair day! She didn't win, but she definitely had crazy hair!
At the end of camp, she won the award for most spirited! Which only makes sense since we are huge TU fans! (We kind of have to be- ha!)

She had two crazy, busy, fun weeks of camp! The rest of our summer is going to be a bit more lazy with lots of pool days and a few vacation days heading our way!
