Friday Favorites

Happy Friday friends! What is it about short weeks that make them seem so long? We had Monday off, but work has been crazy busy with progress reports, seeing kids, writing IEPs, and more! Plus, the afternoons and evenings are hectic with after school activities! We are definitely staying busy.... and I don't mind at all as long as the weather cooperates! We hit 80 degrees this week, and I'm not sure about y'all, but I'm much happier when it's sunny and we can get outside! Plus, the Bradford Pears are blooming, which just makes me giddy.

I'm linking up today with Andrea, Erika, and Narci, where each Friday, we share our Favorites!

Last Friday, I registered Adalyn for Pre-K!!!! Next year, two of the girls will be with me, and Adalyn will be 5 minutes away! I am so excited about her starting preschool in the fall, but I have no idea how she is almost 4 and ready for public pre-k!

After registering her for school, we went for haircuts!
This was Adalyn's very first hair cut! I have no idea, but I have waited until at least 3 1/2 for all of the girls to get their first hair cut. Above is her before.
She was such a big girl sitting in the chair! And maybe a little wiggly too!
She let Valerie dry her hair just a little bit.
And a few after pictures.
We honestly just had a little trim, to try to even out her hair. Her hair is so fine, that I'm not sure if shorter hair will suit her, so for now, we're keeping it long.
Unlike Megan who wanted her hair cut to her shoulders. We compromised, and it's a little below her shoulders, but it's short enough that she's happy! She kept asking me if I thought her friends at school would still recognize her!

After hair cuts, we met DJ for dinner.
And driving across town, we saw a rainbow!
We headed for The Rooftop in downtown, because DJ hadn't been there before. I love our little downtown area, and I'm constantly telling DJ that we don't go there enough.
Addy and I had to pass some time taking selfies.
After dinner, we walked back to our car, and stopped to take in a few of the shops that were open late. AH had a chimnea set up with a fire and little benches, so we stopped to warm up a bit! Spending time with my people, is my favorite.

Friday after school, Gretchen went home with a friend and they had a sleepover, so it was just DJ and I with two kids instead of three!

Saturday morning, I hit the gym for Body Pump class (not my favorite) and went to pick up Gretchen. She had a ball at her sleepover!

And Saturday afternoon, Megan and I went to Chuck E Cheese for a friends birthday party!
She was so excited to see Chuck E..... just like in the commercials!

Our poor kids have never been to Chuck E. Cheese before (Gretchen's only been once for a birthday party, and this was Megan's first time). I kind of despise, pizza/arcade places.
Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised because Chuck E Cheese was much cleaner than Incredible Pizza, but it was also a lot smaller, and I didn't eat the pizza so I have no idea how it tasted. But, Megan had an absolute blast! She had so much fun and I loved spending time with just her!
And she could not wait to have her picture taken with "the mouse." It may have been her favorite part!
I decided we needed to diffuse Thieves this weekend because we had been around a few too many germs! And kids at school are dropping like flies!
Sunday morning we made it to church, and seeing these three walk out, was a favorite moment. Especially, Adalyn skipping!
Monday morning I had a dentist appointment, and the hygienist commented on how white my teeth are! You guys, I use my favorite Thieves toothpaste from Young Living with a drop of orange oil.

We spent the rest of our President's Day-day off having brunch with some family that was in town for a short visit... a trip to Rustic Cuff, some errands, and dentist appointments for the big girls, followed by a trip to the gym, where I did three miles of cardio... again, not my favorite.
Tuesday, I was working away in my office, when the nurse came in to tell me that Megan was in her office. She had been flipping over the bars on the playground and she banged her head. Hard. We ended up leaving after my last group, because Adalyn had a dentist appointment, and left with an ice pack on Megan's head.
About an hour later, her bump was looking a little better, and she was smiling again.
And Adalyn had her dental check up! She was so good, so big, so brave. She did fantastic!

We topped off Tuesday evening with dinner at Chick-Fil-A, and gymnastics for Megan.
And, look who I spotted on the playground on Wednesday afternoon! Her Gee had texted to check on Megan's head, so I snapped a quick picture to send her.
And then we had to have a picture with Megan's "glasses" on. She got these from the dentist, and took out the lenses so she could have "seeing" glasses, and insisted on wearing them to school.
And, then I got this picture from Adalyn's teacher.... they were painting a tooth using a toothbrush! How cute is that?
