Friday Favorites: Start of Summer

Happy Friday!!! We've just finished up our first 4 days of Summer and I may be ready for my kids to go back to school- ha! 

I'm linking up today with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for Friday Favorites, and recapping some of my favorite moments from the last week. #becausecatchup

DJ was out of town for his convention last week, so we declared Thursday night a "Girls Night!" We decided to have ice cream for dinner and then a "spa night" at home. 

The big girls had a face mask and everyone had their nails painted. 

Megan requested cucumbers, but we were all out! 

Later that night, we were under a severe thunderstorm warning. And quite honestly, living in Oklahoma, you never know when a tornado could break out. Since I was home by myself with the girls, I let the girls stay up late and watch t.v. in my room. I cleaned house and watched the weather, and eventually Megan and Adalyn found their way on to the couch. 

By the time I went to bed, I decided to just leave them there. Adalyn looked comfy with her feet on top of Megan! 

Friday was Super Kids Day at school! Megan and her little friend had tons of fun playing at school! 

And I had fun taking some time to watch the girls play!

Later that afternoon, it was Gretchen's turn. It had started to rain, so all of her activities had to be moved inside, but she didn't mind! 

Friday night, a grumpy Anna joined us for dinner. 

Gretchen had her musical theater recital on Saturday morning, so we were up bright and early and she was so excited to perform her act to Peter Pan! 

After her recital, we grabbed lunch before heading home! 

And then Megan had a friend sleepover. There's not much better than popsicles in the driveway! 

A little while later, Addy was passed out on the couch! She was worn out! 

We spent most of Sunday playing outside and enjoying the sunshine! It had been raining for days and we were over it! 

Monday morning, was our very last school day! I shared our last day of school pictures yesterday, but I found these girls on the couch (getting along!) before school. 

Monday night, Adalyn had her preschool graduation. We have had one child at this preschool for the last 6 years, so Monday was our very last day of daycare! She sang her little heart out! 

Tuesday, we kicked off summer, by heading to the gym in the morning, and then riding our bikes to the park in the afternoon. 

We brought our snacks and baby dolls along too! 

By the time we got home from the park my mom was there with my niece! They came up for Megan's birthday..... we went to her last gymnastics class (for the year) and then headed out for ice cream! 

                          

Wednesday morning, Gretchen was looking all sorts of grown up....

She was enjoying hot chocolate and playing on her iPod. 

Wednesday morning, I ran Gretchen to speech therapy, and then we met my mom at Chick Fil A to celebrate Megan's birthday! 

We had the best time celebrating her turning 6! I'll share more about her party next week! But, let me tell you, a simple party at Chick Fil A was the way to go! 

And we ended the day by riding bikes and playing with her new Baby Alive! (she's totally obsessed with them right now!)

Whew! So that's it for our Friday Favorites!!! I'm taking Monday off from blogging, but I'll be back Tuesday and blogging about the rest of our week, Megan's party, and our weekend!
