Pumpkin Patch 2017

During our Fall Break, the girls and I headed to the pumpkin patch for a day of fun!

We look forward to our annual pumpkin patch visit and we've been visiting the same pumpkin patch since we moved to Tulsa over 6 years ago.
Since DJ didn't have a free weekend in October, we made it a girls day.
Every year, we hit up all of the activities at the pumpkin patch, and then we head over to get our pumpkins, and I always attempt getting pictures of the girls. And every year, I get the worst pictures because the girls are too tired, too excited, and just want to pick out their pumpkins! This year, I told the girls that we would explore the pumpkins first, take pictures, and then hit up the activities! And, I finally got some half way decent pictures! (Some still need to be edited- but that will happen eventually- ha!)
This little pumpkin cut out was new this year.
The girls absolutely love crawling around the pumpkins.
They all had to see how tall they were.

And then we found a scarecrow.

Look at the gigantic pumpkins! Wow!

We found piglets. They were so cute!
And then we went through the dark maze.
When we came out, Gretchen saw the "Free Candy" sign and was so excited!
And then they realized it was a trick! Ha!
So, we had some technical difficulties during our visit this year. I never have cash on me. Ever. And all of the credit card machines were down at the pumpkin patch. We usually buy tickets for the girls to go on the hay ride and buy them a bag of food, and then they get to ride the ponies. But, we couldn't buy any of that! And we couldn't even buy a pumpkin! Thankfully, the camel ride people are separate and they had a square card reader, so I told the girls they could ride the camel this year!
And they were excited!
I mean, they were bummed to miss out on the other stuff, but I kept thinking that if we wasted some time their credit card machines would work again. But, they didn't. Thankfully, they were willing to give the girls a bag of food so we could feed the animals.
All of the girls really got in to feeding the animals this year!
Look at the hair on this little goat!

I'm so thankful I threw this in my pocket, since they only have water to rinse your hands off.
We visited a camel, which scared the bajeezies out of Adalyn.

Here's a little video from our trip:
And how Adalyn felt when our visit was over!
And, for the record, we stopped at their little vegetable stand down the road and bought the girls their pumpkins :)

Addy's Family Fun Night & Character Day

Last week, Adalyn's preschool had a Family Fun Night. I didn't plan on taking the girls, but Adalyn's teachers had reminded their class about it, so Adalyn reminded me, and was so excited to get to go back to school at night. So, with a little bit of arm twisting- we went.
We headed to her classroom first, and all of the girls made little Lion masks.

This is Megan's "lion roar face"
I let Adalyn choose which rooms we went in to. The girls played little games, and did a bean bag toss.
And then the girls had their faces painted.
Addy chose a pink and purple heart.

Megan got her face painted like a kitten.
And Gretchen chose a heart.
And then we found Clifford in the hallway!
And then the girls did the cake walk.
And the photo booth!
Can you believe Adalyn will be the class of 2031?!

The girls had tons of fun at the Family Fun Night, we were there about an hour, and in the end, I'm glad we were able to go. Addy is loving preschool, and she was so excited to see all of the teachers and some of her friends.
Last Friday, she had Book Character day, so she wore her Skye costume.
She has somehow picked up a Paw Patrol obsession, and we rarely watch the show. So, I'm not quite sure where it came from.
I found this picture on her school's Facebook page :) She seems to be a shy little Skye!

Adalyn is loving preschool and her teachers! I've always been so thankful for all of the girls teachers and how much their teachers care! Teachers are amazing heroes!
