After we arrived in Texas, we cheered on the Longhorns against TCU.
Addy Pearl was ready in her Game Day shirt and with her baby doll.
We headed to tailgate, which was near an epic tree for climbing.
This girl had the best time.
The tailgate experience is definitely new and different from Tulsa; there was a band on stage, and people everywhere.
We found the LBJ fountain, which was ginormous. I mean, I should've known- everything is bigger in Texas- right? Can you spot the girls?
Megan got in on the tree climbing too, and ended up getting a little scared when she realized how high she was!
My mom made my Longhorns shirt and I'm obsessed with it. I have a few more that I need her to make too :) But, I'm sure this one will be on repeat.
We finished tailgating and headed to the field. We stopped to see Smokey the Cannon.
And then we went to see Bevo. The girls are obsessed with Bevo.
Hook 'em.
After seeing Bevo, we went over to watch the cheerleaders practice. This is definitely Megan and Adalyn's favorite part.
Maybe one day, they'll be cheering on the Longhorns on the sidelines.
And one sweet cheerleader, came over to take a picture with the girls.
DJ met us for a few minutes, and snapped a quick picture of Gretchen and me.
And I snapped one of them.
We headed back toward the end zone to watch the players for a bit.
And got a few high fives from the players on their way in to the locker room.
We took the little girls in to babysitting, and Gretchen and I found our seats in the stands.
We watched the band and the players take the field.
Gretchen was really getting in to the game and cheering on the team.
Coming in to a new team and new traditions was been challenging, but this girl watched and picked it all right up.
Just the two of us in the stands, and we had the best time.
My bracelets from The Cheering Section were perfect for game day.
Right before the 2nd quarter ended, Gretchen told me she had lost a tooth! Her molars are falling out like crazy, and thankfully we found a washcloth from a sweet friend (it was clean) and got her mouth cleaned up, and saved her tooth for the tooth fairy to visit later that night.
After half time, we headed to the Longhorn Club, where this girl treated herself to lots of dessert.
She had one helping, and then made an ice cream sundae for herself!
The game ended and we had a victory over TCU!
We found Bevo on the field, and the girls gave him a quick hug.
And they danced and cheered around until we headed in to see DJ.
We also took a few pictures with cheerleaders!
It was a great game, and we were so excited to be there cheering on the Longhorns!
Hook 'em!
