I finally feel like we're in a good swing of life right now. We're finding our routine and groove, and this past week, DJ was home for a few days, so that was even better!
Here's a little look at life lately.
We need to get this girl back in to gymnastics ASAP. She is now doing splits on the stairs.
She's also stealing my phone and having baby doll photo shoots.
Sometimes, it's easier to get dressed in the dining room versus the bedroom. Addy Pearl hates being upstairs by herself; she says she's afraid.... so, she gets dressed downstairs, wherever we are.
Last week was cold and rainy. It was pretty miserable, and I don't want to complain, but I was not ready for the weather to change so fast here in Texas. I moved around my clients, and got off work a little early, so I headed to Panera for hot soup, and then did some shopping for the girls.
DJ was off on Friday, so we did what any grown ups would do.
We went to Costco and got a membership and browsed the entire store sans kids.
It was the perfect day-date.
We picked up the girls from the bus stop, and they were soaked from all the rain!
We managed to get the playroom organized and the TV set up (finally). Addy Pearl crawled in to the bean bags and watched some Friday afternoon TV.
(We still need a sofa for this room.)
And then the girls spyed on the neighbors.
Saturday morning, we curled up to watch football. DJ was home, and we had an easy day.
Addy dressed up in a ballerina costume.
And then Megan came downstairs dressed as Mal.
Then the girls stole my phone and took a few selfies.
DJ and I spent most of Saturday watching football while the girls played upstairs. We also unpacked the office, and hung some pictures around the house. It was so nice having him home on the weekend!
Sunday afternoon, the girls and I went to run a few errands and I put on real clothes, and that had to be documented- ha! For work, I'm able to wear yoga pants and t-shirts, so I basically never get dressed anymore. Not going to lie- I'm loving it!
Later that day, Addy curled up and took a nap, and I was slightly jealous.
Dinner Sunday night was a lasagna style pasta, and it was so yummy! Plus, it was super easy to make!
The last two days, we've taken our neighbors to school and picked them up from the bus stop. We were so lucky to move close to the sweetest family. Their girls are right around our girl's ages and they've become fast friends!
Snack time and movie time makes for a perfect after school afternoon!
