So, I've been on a blogging hiatus. Trying to get adjusted to school, work, football season, and super early morning wake ups has me a bit off kelter. But, we're working on feeling settled, and just trying to figure out what our new normal looks like.

I thought I'd share three things about each of those three girls above :)
First up, Adalyn
1. She's adjusted so well to kindergarten! She absolutely loves school and her teacher told us that she's already made a ton of friends, which doesn't surprise me, because she knew everyone's name last year.
2. The girls have had two pajama days, crazy sock days, and all the fun things, because the were rewards for their school fundraiser. Now, Adalyn tries to convince me that every day is pajama day.
3. She gets to go to the library every day and bring home a book. Every day, she's brought home a Llama Llama book. She's obsessed.
Megan
1. She's a one friend kind of girl. On the first day of school, she met a girl named Taylor who had recently moved from Florida. Taylor is her new best friend and she talks about her every day.
2. Megan has always been a "little mommy" but some nights she'll step in and give Adalyn a bath, and I totally let her.
3. Her new favorite TV show is Raven's Home; she still loves playing with her baby dolls, and she cartwheels around the house a little less often, because we haven't gotten her back in to gymnastics. But, she loves watching the UT cheerleaders on the sidelines and showing off her skills.
Gretchen
1. She's ready 5 of the Harry Potter books so far. She's obsessed and wants to be a Harry Potter character for Halloween.
2. She tried out for her schools' morning announcement team. If she makes it she'll be on a little "news show" and read the announcements each day.
3. She's settling in like a pro. She has a handful of friends that she plays with and talks about, and is enjoying school.
Me
1. I'm setting in at work, and loving my new position. I'm working part time 4 days a week, which is something I've wanted to do for the longest time. Eventually, I'll build up to more kids and hours, but for now, it's perfect.
2. We've unpacked most of the house, except DJ's office, and just need to hang up photos later this week when DJ's home.
3. I've been super tired lately. I'm not a morning person at all, so 5:30 am wake ups are super hard. I'm going to bed super early, and that's why I haven't been blogging. I'm just trying to readjust my schedule, and it's been hard.
DJ
1. He's been a big support! He understands that I'm exhausted, and he's not giving me any slack for my early bedtime. He's also up in the mornings, and helps us all get out the door. He's the early bird in our house..... well, Gretchen too.
2. He's settled in to his new role with Texas football nicely, and I'm sure he loves his job. He's doing more administrative work, so it's different from what he's use to, but he's great at what he does!
3. Texas has a bye weekend, so he's off on Friday, which means we'll be hanging lots of pictures around the house! He has a lovely honey do list waiting on him :)
That's it for now, check back tomorrow when I share our latest football game and weekend fun!
All things considered, y’all are doing extremely well! First time you moved a family of 5 with everyone going to a new job or new school is a big transition! I have been in my house almost a year and still have boxes to unpack & pictures to hang!! So, you are way ahead of me!! I am looking forward to seeing y’all when I return at Christmas!!
