Three Things

Every once in a while, I like to share "3 things" about each girl, and I thought this week would be a great week, since it's been a while since I've done a post like this!

We're currently enjoying our Spring Break and looking forward to a little weekend get away.... we're also ready for all things warmer weather, being outdoors, and spring football!

Adalyn
1. This girl has gotten a ton of 1:1 time lately. When big sisters are at activities, she gets a little mommy/daughter time, and she loves it! I mean, she's totally soaking it up!
2. She's learning more and more sight words and is reading a bit more on her own. Admittedly, we slack in the homework area, but recently, we started working more on her sight words, and she has a slew of them taped to the pantry door so we can remember to practice. I bought her Bob books at Costco and she loves reading them.
3. She is our Texas girl. She is falling in love with this state, especially after studying it in school the past few weeks. She knows all about our state flag and symbols. But, she's also a big Longhorns fan, and insists on us singing The Eyes of Texas to her at bedtime each night. She follows up the song with a loud "BOOM!" at the end, just like the cannon goes off during game time.

Megan
1. We recently switched gymnastics and she is thriving!!! She's on the show team and practices 8 hours a week. In November, we put her at one gym, and after a month or so, we realized that it was not the right fit. Now that we've moved her, she's back to flipping over the furniture, down the stairs, and is tumbling all over the place.
2. She's making straight A's! We were thrilled when she was on the honor roll last 9 weeks! She's thriving at school and loves her teacher SO much!
3. She's our little fashionista! She definitely has her own sense of style. We took the girls to Old Navy this weekend, and she easily picked herself out several new shirts and was super confident in her choices and her style.

Gretchen
1. This girl is getting ready for middle school and is studying hard! She's had book reports due, science fair projects, and is working on a big research project for her gifted class at school.
2. She's performing in Mary Poppins with a kids theater this spring. She has a few little parts and loves being in her acting class.
3. She's planning on saving the world. She and her friends have organized a "Go Green Go Clean" and they're planning on saving all the endangered animals. They've spent their recess and spare time making bracelets, that they'll be gifting as they collect donations for the World Wildlife Federation.

I know I've said it before, but I'm so proud at how well these girls have adjusted to life here in Texas. They're thriving here, and it truly is an answered prayer for our family.
