Girl Mom~ Planning A Baby Doll Birthday

Megan's third birthday is this Saturday! So if you're a girl mom like me, that means lots of planning!

I plan for parties at least a year in advance! I kid you note, I almost always know the theme of the next year's party as soon as the party ends. As soon as Megan's party ended last year, I had determined that this year's theme would be "mermaid".  The plan was that we would go ahead and travel to my mom's house and have Megan's party at the pool, and all of our extended family would be able to come.

However, as spring grew near, plans changed. Relatives were heading out of town, our school year was extended to the week after Memorial day, and we decided to go ahead and host this year's party at our house.

In March, I was reading Kelly's Korner blog about her daughter's baby doll themed birthday. I instantly changed my mind about Megan's theme. Megan loves baby dolls and I knew that I needed to have a theme that she would really enjoyed!

So, I started doing what all of us girl mom's do in this age of technology and Pinterest. I started pinning idea after idea, and this Saturday, i'll have the most perfect baby doll themed birthday party for Megan!

I love the turquoise and pink color scheme in the photo above. I also love the use of wooden silverware, paper straws, and flower shaped paper plates.

I am loving the use of a baby doll as a table decorations, and wine glasses flipped over for a cupcake stand!

I'm definitely planning on having all of Megan's baby doll toys set out for an instant nursery feel! We've also asked our guests to bring their favorite baby doll for our baby doll picnic!

Kelly used these baby dolls on top of the cupcakes, and I love that she had a "paint your own diaper bag" as a party favor!

We are also having birth certificates, that we'll fill out at the party! You can find a Printable Baby Birth Certificate here! I can't wait to hear the names of baby doll's and how much they weighed, and when they were born!

I'll be sharing our baby doll birthday next Tuesday, so be sure to check back in!
