Friday evening, I left Tulsa and headed toward Branson for a much needed girls trip!
Branson is my happy place and a weekend sans kids and spent with fabulous girl friends was calling my name!
To say I was jumping up and down with joy and anticipation may be an understatement!
After a little bit of a detour (because I may have missed my exit and headed in the wrong direction for 15 minutes before realizing it.) I arrived to the condo for some relaxation, gossip, and giggling!
Saturday morning started out with my girl friends bringing me a pumpkin muffin and shopping!
We tried on hats and fedoras!
And then we all decided to try on hats and fedoras.
I am not really a fedora girl, but the one that I found was super cute that it may have convinced me that I need to get one.
After finishing up at Tanger mall, we headed over to The Landings to eat at Joe's Crab Shack and do a bit more shopping.
We don't usually eat at Joe's here in Tulsa, but we had the crab cheesy dip, and y'all, it was amazing! I might just have to go so I can get some crab cheesy dip.
We found this ginormous gorilla, and it was just calling our name to take pictures with it!
Laura, the bride to be, may have found a new man!
And the mommy in me decided to pick his nose.
There was just something about his nostrils, that I just had to "pick".
After lunch and shopping, and taking a few crazy photos, we headed to play putt putt!
I know, what you're all thinking, more photo ops!
Okay, maybe you weren't thinking that, but we were, and we may have had more fun taking random pictures than actually playing putt putt!
This particular putt putt course was Hollywood theme, and I'm so glad that we chose it over the dinosaur themed one down the street.
We putted our way through The Beverly Hills hotel.....
climbed Capital Records...
Went to the Golden Globes...
And seriously, does the real life golden globes statue have a rear side like this? I mean, it is literally well built and well sculpted.
(The front side is not, in case you were wondering.)
After we putted our way through Hollywood, we went the The Grand Village.
We visited the Christmas store, which is a favorite of mine, ate some chocolate covered tortilla chips (yuck) and some chocolate covered potato chips (yum!), we decided to see if we could all fit in a gigantic rocking chair.
And we could!
Laura told Santa all she wanted for Christmas.
And attempted stealing the reindeer.
Then, we were exhausted, so we headed back to the condo and did this.
We also threw Laura a mini-shower, ate cupcakes, drank wine, and strawberritas (if you've not tried these, you're not missing anything, in my humble opinion) and talked wedding details!
Everyone got up Sunday morning and headed out. I took advantage of alone time, and did a little more shopping, enjoyed a quiet lunch and then headed home.
Meggie was so excited to see me and didn't want me to put her down!
And Adalyn missed mommy too! She nursed for 20 minutes once she woke up from her nap! Which is probably due to the fact that she flat out refused a bottle or sippy cup for the entire weekend while I was away!
