Pinspired & Lunch Ideas

I'm stepping away from 5 on Friday to link up to PTMT & Mix & Match Mama for Pinspired!

I've shared these outfits before on WIWW, but I thought I'd share today how I was inspired by Pinterest to put these looks together. I never would have put these outfits together on my own!
I loved the flowy skirt, gladiator sandals, comfy tee and scarf in the look above.

This was my inspiration.

My skirt was bought last summer, from Old Navy, and I paired it with a brown long sleeve tee, and gold wedges. I didn't have a scarf that I loved, so I just left it off.
I've also been seeing lots of chambray paired with skirts, and this was my re-creation of the look:
I'm wearing the same Old Navy skirt, a chambray top and cognac wedges.

Without Pinterest, I would have NEVER paired this skirt with these tops!

I'm also linking up today with Kelly's Korner and sharing a few lunch ideas!
I have a little bit of a problem with school served lunches, so I was determined that Gretchen would take her lunch every single day to school. But, that's also come with a little give and take, and she was begging to be like the "other kids" and buy a school lunch. We finally compromised, and she's allowed to buy school lunch on Mondays when CiCi's pizza is served. I cringe when I think about it, but I try not to!

I purchased her lunch box containers from Pottery Barn, and we use these most of the time. I'm so thankful that Gretchen will eat lots of fruits and veggies and isn't too much of a picky eater!

I often give her shredded spinach with cheese and then salad dressing. She loves grape tomatoes, so she gets those a lot too! She loves cucumbers and bell pepper strips. I've also added frozen peas, and then, they're defrosted by lunch time and ready to eat. She also eats green beans this way!

I try to give her a fruit every day as well. Grapes, strawberries, and blueberries are common themes! I also give her applesauce and raisins.

At the beginning of the year, I bought her a lot of Pirate Booty snacks, and then she discovered real cheetoh's. So, she gets those every once in a while.

She gets turkey and cheese sandwiches on whole wheat bread or tortilla. PB&J, PB& honey,  or even pepperoni and cheese with crackers.

I'm not going to lie, every so often she gets an uncrustable. There are times when I'm exhausted and I don't feel like fixing her a lunch, so I throw in whatever I can.

I try to make her lunches fun for her! I have little silicone flower cupcake wrappers, that I use in her lunchbox. I put little goldfish in them, or her fruit I try to roll up her sandwiches, by flattening the bread first. I totally don't have time to mess with cookie cutters and cutting her bread into fun shapes. Bless you mom's that do.  I also buy fun ziploc bags from Target's $1.00 section, and I found little chevron paper bags, that i'll put her chips in, and then close the bag with a sticker.

I try to add in a little piece of candy left over from the holidays if we have it, and I give her either a juice box or send her with a small bottle of water.

If I can wash and prep before hand, then I find that fixing her lunches are so much easier for me!

Thanks so much for stopping by and reading today! I totally love each and every one of you who take time out and read my little blog!
