Kicking Off Summer!

Once we got back from Arkansas last Monday, Tuesday was our official kick off of summer! 

Megan was so excited for our kick off, that she insisted on falling asleep in the living room on the floor on Monday night!

DJ was excited to see her after us being gone all weekend!

On Tuesday, Adalyn figured out how to crawl up the stairs!

Tuesday started off with dentist appointments for the big girls! Megan has always been terrified of the dentist! I was so nervous about how she would handle this trip, but we've been talking about the dentist for WEEKS, and she ended up doing great! They were able to take x-rays and brush her teeth, which has never happened before!

Gretchen has ALWAYS been a pro at the dentist! She goes back all by herself and rocks it!

After the dentist, the girls and I went to McAllisters for lunch.

Megan was pretending that Gretchen was a baby and fed her!

And, this time, I sat near the bathroom, and when the girls had to go, I sent them! It worked perfectly!

After lunch, we headed to the library to sign up for the summer reading program. 

They had a music program going on, so the girls and I went in to sing and dance.

Gretchen had a ball!

Megan was a little slow to warm up, but then danced around afterwards!

Once we got home, the girls all had naps and then we played outside!

Adalyn wanted to sit in a chair like a big girl!

Megan played soccer.

DJ was home and we grilled chicken and enjoyed some family time!

Wednesday was our first official pool day of summer!

This is the only photo I took because you know, enjoying yourself at the pool with three littles is next to impossible!

We went home for naps and then played outside!

Adalyn was all smiles watching her big sisters play! Megan even took Adalyn on a little stroll. 

I let the girls play with sidewalk chalk and then we "painted" with water. This was a huge hit!

We had a rainy Thursday morning, so the girls and I stayed inside and I cleaned the house a bit, did some monogramming, and enjoyed my babies!

Adalyn was so happy after breakfast! Girl loves to eat, and usually right after meal times, she's at her happiest!

She also turned 11 months old on Thursday!

And, I redecorated our mantle for the second time this week! I had a huge picture above, and lots of other stuff on the mantle, and on Wednesday, it all came crashing down and everything broke! I was heartbroken, but thankful that the girls weren't in the living room at the time. It was a huge mess of glass everywhere! I don't have any other large pictures (the one I originally had, I moved above the couch, and then took the one above the couch, and put it over the mantle, and that's the one that broke.)  I've been in a huge re-decorating mood this week, now that I know the Welte's are not leaving Tulsa! 

What? You didn't know that was a possibility? Another post for another day!
