Better late than never…. right? I tried to get this blog post written last night, but I could not get my pictures to upload! Probably because I have 1,001 pictures to share today!
Our summer is off to a great start! I've taken tons of pictures to prove it, and today, i'm going to share what we've been up to.
There have been great, memorable times, and then there have been crazy times where I wanted to lock myself in my closet with a bottle of wine!
This was probably one of those moments! Megan got caught underneath a barstool and couldn't get out. She was screaming, Gretchen was crying that there was an emergency, and I came to find, her crawling out just about that time!
Addy Pearl is on a pretty great schedule and she's rocking her day time naps and is the happiest girl right after she's been fed! She's crawling every where and trying to keep up with her big sisters!
Then she gets all snuggly and it's the best thing ever!
I bought the girls Poppin' Pebbles for breakfast, and I totally forgot that I was out of my own cereal, so one morning, I had their cereal.
#neveragain
Those little green balls are like pop rocks that fizz in your mouth, and i'm sorry but it's way too early in the morning to have that sensation!
On Sunday, we were all awake early, so I told DJ that we should try to make it to the early service at church because I still had an apron to embroider for a birthday party that afternoon!
We managed to make it out the door, still a little late, and when we pulled in to church and started checking in the girls, I realized that we were 45 minutes late!
So, we went to get doughnuts since there was no point in driving back home!
I think everyone was pretty good with that plan!
Sunday afternoon, we went to a Frozen themed birthday.
The girls are pretending to be Olaf.
Singing "Let It Go"
Adalyn loved playing with the snowballs!
We came home and ordered pizza and let the girls have a pizza picnic on the floor while they watched The Little Mermaid 2.
I found this mess on my floor Monday morning.
And then I found Adalyn cleaning up the mess under the kitchen table.
We had soccer practice on Monday night.
My little soccer diva! (Who also had to go potty!)
Our family picture print came in and I redecorated my entry way!
I still have to order the canvas pictures that I want to get, but this was a good start!
On Tuesday, the girls and I slept in a bit, which through off our day. We ended up not getting out of the house until about 11:30, and Gretchen lost one of her library books, so we had to spend time looking for it, and we still haven't found it!
So anyway, we get out of the house and we run a few quick errands, and I was totally regretting this outing. The girls were so fussy and Adalyn was screaming in the backseat like someone was murdering her. Seriously. I called my mom and debated returning home, but then I'd have to fix lunch and I wasn't up for that. So, we headed to Panera, and after lunch on our few other errands, the girls were SO good!
While we were out, we bought spent Megan's birthday gift certificate to Toys R Us, and bought the girls a slip-n-slide!
They were so excited for daddy to set it up on Tuesday night!
And Megan obviously had to go potty again!
They had so much fun on the slip-n-slide!
But, I have to be honest, our water pressure must not be great, because the spray was barely there! It was so much cooler when I was a kid!
Adalyn took a really late nap on Tuesday since we were out shopping, and I went to pick her up, and she just hugged me. It was the sweetest moment, so I had to capture it. She held her arms around my neck so tight. Perfection.
Wednesday, Megan wanted to hold Adalyn.
And, Megan helped me vacuum!
We went to the pool on Wednesday, and I was so busy chasing the girls that I didn't get any pictures! Are neighbor and her girls came with us, and that helped so much having an extra set of hands!
Addy wanted to take a picture too on Thursday morning!
My car has been at the dealership for several weeks due to an electric panel in the door going out and a recall, but Thursday we were finally able to pick it up. The recall piece is on back order, and I was tired of not having my car!
DJ met us there, because I knew that I couldn't trade out the carseats and keep up with the girls at the same time.
Afterwards, we went and had lunch. DJ and Megan ate McCallisters, and Gretchen and I walked down to Tropical Smoothie and then we all set outside at McCallisters to eat!
We came home and Adalyn and I were the only ones that took naps yesterday!
I'll have lots more fun to share with y'all next week! We have a birthday party to go to, we're headed to the lake, and we have our last soccer practice!
Yay for summer fun!
