Silver Dollar City

Friday morning, I received a text message from my sister in law asking if we had plans for the weekend. It was our first weekend home in a few weeks, and we had none, so she suggested we head to Branson for a little weekend get away! 

And, i'm not sure about you, but summer for us, means lots of little vacations and getaways! I love that we are home and can just get up and go! So, we called DJ's uncle who has a condo in Branson to see if we could get a last minute condo, and by 3:00 that afternoon, we had booked a condo for the weekend and by 5:00 we were off! We arrived Friday night around 9, and went straight to bed. 

Saturday morning, it was pouring down rain, so we took our time getting ready and by 10:30 the rain had stopped and we were ready to play at Silver Dollar City. 

My brother and sister in law woke up early Saturday morning and met us at the park. 

The girls were ready to go, and so were we. 

We made sure to dress super casual so we could enjoy all of the rides!

I'm so glad these girls were up for an adventure!

And, this guy too! He had been working last week at high school football camps, but he was up for some fun too!

As soon as we went in to the park, we headed for the saloon show. It was my brother's one request for the day! And, we hadn't ever taken in a show at SDC before, and the girls loved it!

Except for Adalyn, because it was dark for a little bit and there was a gun fight. 

After the saloon show, we rode Fire in the Hole, and then had lunch. I had my phone away for most of the day since I didn't have pockets and we were focused on having some family fun! 

We all went on the river ride and got wet, and the girls were begging for us to ride another water ride where you get SOAKED! DJ and Addy stayed behind and when we got off, she was sound asleep. 

The girls dipped candles, and Gretchen requested that we go in to Grandfather's Mansion. 

My sister in law was making a purchase, and Addy was sleeping in DJ's arms, so we took a few selfies while we were hanging out waiting. 

I sure do love doing life with this guy! 

I had my brother take a family photo and of course I'm the only one not looking at the camera! 

Addy woke up just in time to ride the carousel!

She got to go around two times! It's her favorite ride!

Afterwards, she requested the hot air balloon ride, and she wanted to ride Lucky the dog. We decided to head out around 5, so we could go back to the condo and get freshened up for dinner! 

We ended our night with lots of pizza from Mr. G's, and then we were back at the condo for an early bed time! 

Sunday morning we were up early since DJ had to be back for a football camp!
