Vacation Break

Hey friends! Sorry, i've had a little blogging break. If you're keeping up with us on Instagram or Facebook, then you may have seen that we have a lot going on right now! We're home from our 2 1/2 week vacation and right now I'm working on unpacking, cleaning, packing some more, and...... getting our house on the market to sell!
Because.... we're moving to Texas! DJ took a job with the athletic department at the University of Texas and we're in the midst of all that entails at the moment. So, life is a little overwhelming, but we're making it! I'll be sharing more about this life change soon, and of course, you can keep up with us on Instragram

But for now.... I'm recapping a little break in our vacations. If you missed our Gulf Shores recap, you can catch them here. We headed home to my mom's house on a Friday, and on Saturday, we did laundry, ran errands, worked on a project, and had some family time.
Megan went to her cousins house for the day, so my mom and I took Addy and Gretchen on some errands and out for lunch.
While we were lunching, DJ went to his nephew's baseball game because they were playing close by.

That evening, DJ and I met friends for dinner and I took zero pictures. But, we had the best time catching up with one of my nearest and dearest friends and her husband.
We came home, and the girls were swimming, but we picked them up and headed to Gee's house for baths and bedtime. My mom actually brought them up the driveway (my parents and brother live on the same land) and the girls were hanging out the sunroof.
Sunday morning, we said good bye to my parents, and their kitten, Rascal, and headed to DJ's parents house in northern Arkansas.

(Addy fell in love with Rascal, and I really want to buy her a kitten now!)
Before we left, I took a sniff of my grandma's perfume, and I'm thankful my momma kept this bottle. I don't wear perfume, but I have to take a little sniff of this to remember grandma's smell :)
We stopped for lunch at Subway and let the girls enjoy a cookie :0
and then we made it to the lake! After unpacking and giving hugs to grandparents, we changed in to our suits and went swimming off the dock.
Then it was time for a boat ride.
These girls and "little sister" were ready to ride!
Addy was excited to find one of the dolls she had left at her grandparents house a few months ago!
And these girls were excited to tube!
We went for an evening swim and called it a night!

We were looking forward to a few lake days !
