I convinced DJ in June, to let me sign her up for classes. He agreed, and the very next day we were at the studio. Then, we went straight to the dance store to purchase a few leotards, tights, tap, and ballet shoes. I kind of felt like crying as I had a proud mommy moment watching her try on her ballet and tap shoes at the store and dance around in them. It was something that I've looked forward to as a mom of girls.
I'll admit, over the last week and a half, i've been trying to convince her to continue. As if it's something that she really does want to do. The truth is, she probably doesn't. But, I want her to take, and I want her to take really bad. I'm convincing myself that if we continue, she'll love it. Or, if she doesn't, then we can pull her.
But, I don't know if I should do that. Am I benefit her or myself? I need to decide soon, because classes are filling up.
Try to get her to take another session...when my now 26 yr old wanted to quit after her 2nd year I talked her into on more time...she continued until she graduated HS... 15 years total! For the record in May I, as a mom, went to my 23rd recital in a row! lol
