It's Friday! Can I get an Amen?! I don't know about you, but this week wore me out! It shouldn't have since it was only a 4 day week, but it's the first week that I have seen my speech therapy kiddos and I've rearranged my schedule this year, and I'm back to back with kids all day long and I'm running all over the place! I truly believe this new style of therapy will benefit my speech kiddos, but it's wearing me out fast! Thankfully, the days are going by super fast!
I can't move forward today without taking a moment to remember the 14th anniversary of September 11th. This day changed the way we live in this world. There's not a day that goes by that we don't really feel the full effects of what happened. Today, I'm praying specifically for those directly impacted by the terrorist events of this day.
I'm linking up today with Erika, Narci, and Andrea for Friday Favorites and sharing a few of my favorites moments from our week.
Gretchen's outfit on Monday was one of my favorites. We bought Gretchen's skirt from Old Navy before school started, and it's super cute! Hers is sold out, but this one is another cute option. You can get her top here. She is loving ballet this year, so her "Give me a beat I can dance to" top is perfect. Her leopard hair wrap is from Ruby Blue.
Megan is really enjoying preschool! I am so thrilled out how well she has done making the change to a new school. She really looks forward to going, and in just a few short weeks, she has already started learning letter sounds, rhyming, and syllables. I'm super impressed with all that she has learned! Her teacher sends daily emails with what they did, and she sends pictures. I love this picture of Meggie featured in her email.
Tuesday night we came home and within an hour of being home, it started to pour! The girls were terrified of the thunder and lightning, so we put on pj's and cuddled on the couch with books since the t.v. had gone out with the rain.
Cuddling with these girls is my favorite!
Gretchen has library once a week, and she is able to check out two books. Her first week of school, she checked out a biography on Sacagawea. Her next week, she checked out two biographies of Theodore Roosevelt. This week, she checked out two insect books. This girl loves to learn! She also loves her American Girl doll, Isabelle.
Sitting on the floor, I had two girls in my lap and we were surrounded by books.
It was pretty perfect.
I came across this quote on Facebook and it just really spoke to me. My journey with Young Living has been amazing. I am so thankful that God has put me exactly where I am right now. He knows exactly where I need to be, and it's amazing watching Him work in me. You can learn more about why I chose Young Living from this post.
And, speaking of Young Living- these are just a few of the goods that I keep in my purse. Peppermint for the tension in the head that comes after seeing 50 speech therapy students, and Thieves spray because kiddos are already getting sick! Anything that can help to boost my system is a favorite.
Wednesday is our early evening to get home, so I try to cook on Wednesday nights. (The other nights, we eat frozen meals that I prepared before school started.) Adalyn was all about helping me in the kitchen.
But honestly, she just wanted to steal the cheese that I had just put in the salad!
Thursdays after school, I take Gretchen to ballet, and then round up Megan for gymnastics. We had some hang out time in the car before we had to get Gretchen. Megan loves her rainbow leotard, and she loves gymnastics!
After ballet and gymnastics, we picked up Adalyn, I dropped the girls off to DJ, and then I headed to Meggies parent night at her preschool. We learned a little about their curriculum.
Tonight we have plans for a girls night and sleepover! It's going to be crazy fun!
Y'all have a great weekend!
XOXO
What a fun week! I recently started using Thieves on my boys' feet at night before bed, and I'm hoping a praying for a healthy school year! I love reading up on how to use oils -- you always have such good suggestions!
