Weekend Wrap Up: Basketball & Bowling

This weekend went by crazy fast, and I'm in total denial that I have to work today. I think this is the first 5 day week, I've put in since coming back for Christmas break, and I'm thinking we might be in for a long one.

Our weekend was pretty great, and the weather was beautiful!!!! It absolutely made up for the miserable cold we suffered through last week.
Thursday night, Megan came down with her dolls to show me how she had dressed them. I say it all the time, but this girl is our little mommy. She is obsessed with baby dolls and loves to dress them, feed them, and take care of them.
Friday, my morning at work was pretty busy, but after recess duty, I headed to the post office, and picked up a salad before heading to a preschool to see a speech kiddo. And y'all, the alone time sitting in my car, and eating, was just what this momma needed. It was the perfect amount of self care, and I went back to work ready to play, and finished up my afternoon with paperwork.

After school, the girls and I went to the gym,  grabbed pizza, and headed home. DJ was working late at a recruiting event.
We let the girls stay up way late, and Adalyn had been watching a You Tube video, when Addy fell asleep on her sister. I took that as my cue to finally put the girls to bed.
Saturday morning we were up bright and early. I hit the gym and then headed to Megan's basketball game. It's been so fun watching her play this season, and this past week, it was like something clicked with her team, and they knew which direction they should be playing.
After her game, we headed home and the girls played outside and enjoyed the weather!
DJ headed back to football for a recruiting event, and we headed back to basketball for Gretchen's game.
She played some great defense!

DJ met us afterwards, and picked up the big girls and then Adalyn and I went to Target. While we were there, our neighbor texted me and invited us bowling.
So, we headed home, and met them a the bowling alley. It was Adalyn and O's first time bowling, and they had a blast! O even won the first game!
She was ready to bowl, and so excited about her pink ball!

This girl was totally proud of herself!

After bowling two games, we all headed to dinner, and got home extra late!

DJ and I decided that we needed to skip church on Sunday, and catch up on the house. We were behind on dishes, laundry, dusting, and just overall cleaning, and good gracious the upstairs was a disaster.

It took us all day, but we managed to get caught up, and I feel like we can stay on top of the chores this week. I can totally tell that all my nights at the gym last week, left for a disastrous house, and I'm hoping to balance it all better this week.
This was pretty much the only picture I took on Sunday...... while Adalyn and I were at Target Saturday night, we bought new spinning toothbrushes for the girls. And, they were totally excited to brush their teeth today! I think they brushed their teeth at least three times!

And, parenting win- but, I totally bribed the girls with money if they could keep their rooms clean all week! They'll earn one coin (they totally don't care if it's a penny or a quarter) every night that they have a clean room before going to bed. It's totally a desperate attempt to keep the upstairs from looking like it did again.

So, that's it for our weekend! Tell me, was the weather gorgeous where you are, or are you still freezing? And, the last two weekends, we've made our Saturdays a family fun day, and I'd totally love to keep this tradition up- so, what are your favorite Saturday family activities?
