Friday is here, my friends! The first week back to school went by fast, but we had some pretty rough mornings and evenings. The girls were super excited about their day back on Monday and they were all up early and ready to go.
But, by Monday evening, they were exhausted!
We headed home and the girls looked at the new American Girl Doll magazine and ate chips and salsa while I worked on dinnner.
Megan colored a picture. Coloring is her favorite!
Tuesday was the 80th day of school, so we celebrated with 80s day!
I had to really convince Gretchen that this was "80s". She had a hard time believing me, and I had to google 1980s fashion to try to convince her. She said, "Mom, they didn't even match!" And then she ran upstairs to pick out a non-matching outfit. I finally had to explain that everyone wanted to be a Rockstar, and they wore lots of jewelry. So, this is what we came up with. I put her hair in a side pony tail and teased the heck out of it. She told me that she "didn't look like herself." and got all sorts of dramatic for like 10 minutes.
She's all about blowing kisses in her poses now.
We totally rocked the side pony tail on 80s day.
DJ worked from home Tuesday afternoon, so he picked up Megan and I took Gretchen to dance. I enjoyed a nice hour of quiet time before picking up a fussy Adalyn from daycare.
DJ picked Addy up early on Wednesday, and I was so excited about getting to come straight home from work. I had plans to go for a run, but once I got home everyone became fussy so we called it a lazy night and had left overs.
Yesterday, I shared one of my favorite posts ever.
And, on Monday, I shared my New Years Resolutions.
Thursday morning I stayed home with Adalyn, as she had developed a rash after her fever. She was all smiles though while helping me put on my make up!
And she insisted on carrying a purse with her baby, it's bottle, a blanket, and her sippy cup. Too bad the flash was blinding her!
Thursday night, Gretchen enjoyed splashing in the puddles after dance.
And Adalyn spent the evening jumping around the kitchen in her snow boots!
I discovered a new favorite oil for my face this week! I mixed a few drops in to my morning moisturizer, and then I use 2 drops neat on my face at night. My face has never been brighter, and my complexion is improving! Unfortunately, it's out of stock, so I'm hoarding this little bottle!
And the girls received this Foodstirs box (and another one) that has all the supplies we'll need to make Brownie Popsicles and Cupcake Ice Cream Cones! I'm totally saving these for a rainy day!
Whew, what a week!
Hope you had a great one dear friends!!!!
I ordered Roman Chamomile but it hasn't come in yet! I was wondering what it would be like on my face - how does it help your complexion?
ReplyDeleteI put two drops on my face every night, and I added a few drops to my morning moisturizer. My skin is glowing! And I've only been using it a week! I don't think YL will have it back in stock for a while, so hoard what you have! I think I'm going to make a roller bottle with Roman Chamomile, Tea Tree, and Lavender for my face.
